Chapter 350: The Joy of Tormenting an Opponent, One-Eyed Owl
TL: Sungmin
“Hey! Hercules, you’re going to make us lose face like this!” Perseus said unhappily.
Who were they? And yet here Hercules was, answering questions from a mere Goblin.
It was utterly humiliating.
As a fellow son of Zeus, Perseus naturally felt entitled to speak to Hercules in such a tone.
But then, the Desert Queen, carried away by her own arrogance, chimed in, “Exactly! What are we now? Leading an elite army comparable to a Divine Pantheon! Go kill those goblins over there; at least that will restore some dignity!”
“Shut up! When was it your turn to speak?”
Suddenly, Hercules’ voice erupted, full of fury.
The sheer ferocity of it left the Desert Queen stunned, realizing too late that she had overstepped.
After all, he was the strongest demigod!
Her empire, though powerful, could only maintain invincibility within the desert. Outside of it, its strength was limited.
At most, she could summon five million Sandstorm Soldiers or consolidate them into ten Sandstorm Giants. Once killed, they could be revived with magic.
But magic wasn’t infinite; it would run out eventually.
Visawon quickly interjected to ease the tension. “We’re allies now, and with such a formidable enemy ahead, we must avoid infighting at all costs.”
“Hmph, a formidable enemy? I’ll see for myself just how ‘formidable’ it is!”
Hercules’ courage surged as he cast a disdainful glance toward Lin Tian’s position.
He had been momentarily shaken earlier by that strange power, which was why he lashed out at the Desert Queen.
But now that he looked again—
He froze. “Who is that guy? Crimson battle aura? Is he a strength-type warrior like me? Tch, such posturing!”
The subject of his sneer was none other than the One-Eyed Owl.
At this moment, her fury had become tangible, soaring skyward and stirring the winds and clouds over Goblin King City.
“Princess Gobu Yue, give me every buff you’ve got,” the One-Eyed Owl said through clenched teeth, her face dark.
Lin Tian and Gobu Yue exchanged a glance. Lin Tian nodded, signaling that it was fine.
Immediately, Gobu Yue began to chant, “Mythic-Class Strength Buff, Mythic-Class Speed Buff! World-Class Luck Enhancement, World-Class Defense Buff, World-Class Physical Resistance Buff, Magical Resistance Buff, World-Class Healing Effect Enhancement, World-Class…”
One towering column of light after another shot into the sky!
Nearly twenty buffs in total!
The sight left Lin Tian’s group in awe. “Whoa, Gobu Yue! I didn’t know you were hiding this many buffs!”
Some buffs, like Physical and Magical Resistance, hadn’t been seen before.
Even Alice felt a chill. “At her current level, Elizabeth could defeat even me…”
“Hehe, Boss, I just learned these recently,” Gobu Yue scratched her head and finally stopped chanting.
Her magic was nearly depleted.
From afar, Hercules watched, emboldened by his courage. “That poser! If you want to fight, then get over here and die already! Stop staring me down!!”
Bang! Bang!
He banged his Spear of Bravery and Shield of Bravery together, producing an echo that seemed to resonate with the soul!
Under his Courage buff, all of Hercules’ stats increased by 50%! His combat power soared past 30,000.
The One-Eyed Owl, initially at 25,000, surged to nearly 40,000 with all those buffs.
With Mythic-Class Speed Buff active, she instantly crossed the city walls and the dense Goblin army, appearing on the front lines of the battlefield in mere moments!
Her overwhelming aura spread in all directions!
The surrounding goblins and human soldiers alike were shocked!
“What an eerie movement technique! What’s with this person? Is she a spirit body?”
Perseus, stunned by the scene, rubbed his eyes.
It looked as though the One-Eyed Owl had passed straight through the city walls and the goblins’ bodies!
The most terrifying aspect of the Mythic-Class Speed Buff was its ability to ignore collision boundaries.
But Hercules, now fully in his Brave State, was fearless. “Hmph, you’ve been glaring at me this whole time, haven’t you? Do you even know who I am? I’m Hercules, the strongest demigod! Even weaker gods must defer to me! Who gave you the nerve to glare at me like that?”
“A fool courting death, hmph.”
Noradoff, carrying the Divine Strength Empire’s flag emblazoned with spear and shield motifs, scoffed dismissively.
Perseus, unconcerned with the others, quickly spoke up, “Brother, don’t kill her outright; I want her alive! As a reward, I’ll give you thirty well-trained F-cup maids, hahaha!”
“I know what I’m doing. Who could bear to kill someone that beautiful? But a lesson must be taught,” Hercules said smugly as he dismounted from his lion-shaped magical beast.
He and the One-Eyed Owl squared off, standing about a hundred meters apart.
The Desert Queen appraised the One-Eyed Owl and sneered, “I remember you. You were with that goblin last time, weren’t you? You must have been stuck in the Wilderness for so long that you’ve never met a true powerhouse!”
Hercules found the words particularly pleasing. “I’ll ask you one last time: why have you been glaring at me? Or… could it be that you’re eager for me to pin you under my body? Hahaha!”
The gods of Mount Olympus were notoriously licentious, especially Zeus.
As his son, Hercules naturally inherited this trait.
Upon hearing this, the One-Eyed Owl barely restrained herself from punching him to death right then and there. However, she decided to ask a few questions first. “You mentioned you’ve been to the Wilderness before and forced yourself on a woman there. Is that true?”
“What business is that of yours? I’ve forced plenty of women! Now answer my question, or I’ll gouge out your eye!” Hercules snapped impatiently, his voice rising.
His aura surged violently, attempting to suppress the One-Eyed Owl with sheer pressure.
However, her voice thundered in response, louder and more forceful. “Answer me!!!”
Boom!
The Hell Warrior’s Battle Cry erupted from her. The sound reverberated painfully in everyone’s ears, marking them and doubling the physical damage they would take.
Hercules froze momentarily, his expression flickering with uncertainty.
But he quickly recovered, muttering irritably, “Didn’t I already say it? These mutts from the Wilderness really have no brains!”
“I see,” the One-Eyed Owl said coldly, her expression growing darker and darker until it was almost dripping with malice. Her presence alone sent chills down the spines of everyone around her.
Hercules and his companions were momentarily puzzled.
Then, suddenly, realization dawned on him. “Wait… you’re not telling me you’re the child I fathered with that woman in the Wilderness?”
The One-Eyed Owl remained silent.
“HAHAHA! So that’s it! My child, why don’t you kneel and call me ‘Father’ right now? If you do, I might just spare you!” Hercules mocked, his gaze filled with disdain.
Perseus and the others’ eyes lit up with amusement. “How entertaining! You actually ran into one of your children?”
“Of course! I’ve got children everywhere! Hahaha! Come on, kid, if you don’t call me ‘Father,’ I’m going to get angry! Hanging out with goblins, huh? Your father will have to scold you for that!” Hercules sneered, his tone dripping with mockery.
Children meant nothing to him. He had so many that they could populate an entire city. He couldn’t have cared less.
From the distant city walls, Alice could no longer bear to watch. “Your Majesty, should we step in and help kill him? I’m afraid Lady Elizabeth might not be able to do it herself.”
Alice took the role of a father seriously. Her own father, a warrior who had followed the Lionheart King into countless battles, had died in service. The Lionheart King later raised her, and her bond with him was deep.
Lin Tian raised a hand to stop her. “Let her handle it. I trust her.”
“Trust Big Sis! That scumbag won’t meet a good end!” Grugia and Osius were both furious, stomping their feet as if steam would burst from their heads.
On the battlefield, the long-silent One-Eyed Owl finally moved, walking slowly toward Hercules.
Seeing this, Hercules smiled with satisfaction. “That’s right, my child, come to your father. Be a good kid.”
When she was about five meters away, the One-Eyed Owl stopped again. Her aura was eerie, suffocating, and terrifying.
Perseus, the Desert Queen, and the others swallowed nervously, sensing something was wrong. “Be careful. I don’t think she’s here to reconcile.”
“Relax. She’s definitely here to reconcile. At most, she’s resentful I abandoned her. But don’t worry, child. I’ll make up for the fatherly love you’ve been missing. From now on, I’ll take care of everything for you—clothing, food, and all the luxuries you could want,” Hercules said, eyeing her with a gaze that carried a flicker of something sinister.
For the gods of the Olympus system, such behavior was all too common—a foundational part of their chaotic history.
“Good child,” Hercules continued. “I order you to kill that goblin and offer me this city as a gift. Make your father happy~.”
“Of course, but could I have a hug first?” The One-Eyed Owl’s expression suddenly softened, becoming stunningly beautiful. She smiled brightly.
The scene left Perseus and the others bewildered. Then they exchanged amused looks, chuckling darkly. “Seems we were overthinking it.”
To them, such “reunions” were nothing but opportunities to use the other party as a tool. If the child was good-looking, they’d keep them. If capable, a few words would suffice to manipulate them into doing their dirty work.
“Of course, my dear child. Come here,” Hercules said, opening his arms wide, fully relaxed and letting his guard down.
The One-Eyed Owl walked toward him, her demeanor so sentimental it seemed almost theatrical.
The two embraced lightly, a scene reminiscent of a heartfelt father-daughter reunion.
Crack.
A crisp, shattering sound echoed.
Just as Hercules believed he had the situation under control, his expression froze, turning to stone. Beads of sweat formed on his forehead, and his face contorted in pain.
“AAAH! What are you doing?!” Hercules screamed, shoving the One-Eyed Owl away.
He collapsed to his knees, clutching his lower body, writhing in agony.
The pain was excruciating—so intense that his mouth opened wide, but his hoarse throat could barely produce any sound. Saliva dripped to the ground as veins bulged across his entire body.
It was just unfortunate that there was one place on Hercules’ body where the veins would never bulge again.
The One-Eyed Owl stood a short distance away, unable to contain her laughter. “Hahaha! This is just the beginning!”
On the city wall, Lin Tian chuckled as well. “This woman… she’s picked up my dirty tricks. But honestly, this is the only way to deal with him. Haha.”
“Ow, that’s satisfying, but why does it hurt me just thinking about it? Big Sis is ruthless! I’d better not joke around with her in the future. If she does this to me, my life will be over!” Grugia and Osius winced, speaking through gritted teeth, unable to watch.
Hercules hastily pulled out a potion and poured it on himself, managing to slightly alleviate the pain. Raising his head viciously, he glared at the One-Eyed Owl, his expression twisted in fury. “You little wretch! How dare you ambush me?! Today, I’ll clean up my house myself!!!”
“Clean up your house? Have you misunderstood something? From beginning to end, I’ve only ever seen you as the enemy who hurt my mother!” the One-Eyed Owl retorted coldly.
“You wretch! You’ll regret not obediently becoming my lapdog and slave girl!” Hercules roared, his crimson aura suddenly exploding into a blue wave, rippling outwards for nearly a hundred meters.
In an instant, he charged at the One-Eyed Owl, gripping his Spear of Bravery and Shield of Bravery tightly. As Sun-Class magical devices, their power was formidable.
However, the One-Eyed Owl was also wielding a Sun-Class magical device—her knuckle spikes—already charged and ready to clash head-on.
“Impossible!” Hercules’ pupils shrank as he felt the terrifying force from the tip of his spear.
His entire body was sent flying, crashing into a group of elite soldiers and scattering them like bowling pins.
Swish!
The One-Eyed Owl pursued him relentlessly, landing atop his head and slamming her fist down.
Hercules’ heart nearly stopped in fear as he hastily raised his shield to block. “How can you possibly be faster and stronger than me?! Your divine bloodline is so thin!”
Boom!
Her punch shattered the shield on impact.
The shards, as sharp as razors, sprayed outward and ripped through the bodies of hundreds of soldiers.
“What?! That shield broke?!” Perseus exclaimed, his eyes wide in disbelief.
He had tested that shield’s strength before. Even after repeatedly striking it with all his might, he had only left faint scratches. And now, it had shattered with one blow!
Of course, credit was due to Gabriel’s earlier attack, which had left a hairline crack in the shield.
Hercules’ body trembled from the shock, his nerves paralyzed. His anxiety skyrocketed.
Fueled by adrenaline, he grabbed his spear and thrust it wildly at the One-Eyed Owl.
Yet, with her Mythic-Class speed enhancement, the One-Eyed Owl now had an intuitive understanding of overwhelming superiority. She dodged every attack effortlessly.
The scene left the Desert Queen and the others dumbfounded.
Not only that.
The One-Eyed Owl snatched the spear from his hands with a reverse grip, her lips curling into a cold smile. “You seem to enjoy toying with others. Let’s see how you like being toyed with yourself!”
“Don’t underestimate me! I’m your father! Demigod Hercules!!” Hercules roared.
The next second, he regretted it.
The excruciating pain from below struck again, nearly knocking him unconscious.
The One-Eyed Owl drove the spear straight into him, impaling him and leaving it lodged in his body.
Hercules’ fury peaked, his aura exploding into a golden glow—the ultimate representation of strength among warrior professions. He threw a punch with all his might.
“This is your so-called golden battle aura? Too bad. Your Mythic-Class ability is singular and weak!” the One-Eyed Owl taunted.
Thanks to her Mythic-Class strength buff, her power not only surged numerically but also conceptually.
Whenever an enemy’s strength exceeded hers, it was forcibly raised to match theirs, creating parity.
Crack!
Though their strength was equal, the Hell Warrior’s Battle Cry had inflicted a double physical damage buff on him.
Hercules could only watch in horror as his arm shattered into fragments, flesh and blood scattering everywhere.
“Wait! Wait! I was wrong! I apologize to you and your mother! Please don’t kill me!” Hercules’ pupils trembled violently, his body quaking. Panic consumed him.
The intense sensation of impending death gripped his heart.
The One-Eyed Owl gave no response. She struck again, landing ten punches in rapid succession.
Every single blow pulverized his bones—arms, legs, clavicle, ribs—all shattered to pieces.
The so-called strongest demigod lay on the ground, a grotesquely twisted figure.
Looking down at Hercules, the One-Eyed Owl felt an immense sense of satisfaction. “No wonder that guy loves tormenting his enemies so much—especially Gobu Shan. This is exhilarating, hahaha…”
With that, she grabbed the Spear of Bravery still lodged in Hercules’ body, hoisting him up and carrying him over her shoulder.
Turning, she walked toward Lin Tian’s position.
The sight left Perseus, the Desert Queen, and the entire human elite army utterly dumbfounded.
Their so-called invincible existence had been defeated in mere moments.
This wasn’t a mutt from the Wilderness. This was someone treating the Wilderness like their own training ground!
“What are you waiting for?! Attack! Stop that monster!”
Perseus snapped out of his stupor and shouted, “Attack! Stop that monster!”
On the city walls, Lin Tian’s lips curved into a faint smile. “Let’s wrap this up. End this farce quickly…”
As soon as he spoke, countless Goblin soldiers, their eyes glinting with a ravenous hunger for flesh and blood, charged forward in a frenzy.
For Lin Tian, the current situation had a clear goal: to deal with the dwarves first, and then prepare to confront the Chief God of Heaven—Jehovah.
Amazing
Hercules was a joke compared to the One-Eyed Owl.
