Chapter 349: Towering Fury, the Identity of the One-Eyed Owl!
TL: Sungmin
Upon hearing this, the scouts’ gazes faltered noticeably, their expressions filled with surprise.
They quickly replied, “We don’t have specific details. It’s said that the goblin hails from the Wilderness…”
The Wilderness?!
The Elf Queen was even more despondent. “If that’s true, it’s already miraculous that they survived in this large-scale coalition.”
“Dismiss yourselves…”
The Elf Queen sighed in disappointment as she gave the order.
Now, their only hope lay with the Dwarven Kingdom. If they could acquire an Anti-God Superweapon, the Elf Queen was confident she could kill a Chief God-level existence.
But such an outcome seemed highly unlikely.
If the dwarves refused to help, their last resort would be seeking aid from the City of Wicked Sages.
Originally, the Divine Continent was home to ten sages. Five of them had become divided in their attempts to resurrect the Demon God Satan, creating a rift between them and the other five.
Lita watched the scouts leave before looking up with concern.
“Your Majesty, is your health all right? If necessary, I could also become a Shadow Elf…”
The Elf Queen chuckled bitterly from behind the curtain. “Lita, if I die in the future, the elves will need your leadership. I’ve worked hard to reach this stage—I can’t let my efforts go to waste.”
“What?! Your Majesty, you’ve already fully become an Immortal Elf?”
Lita’s expression changed drastically at these words.
The Shadow Elf’s evolved form was the Immortal Elf, equivalent to a god among elves.
With combat power reaching 45,000, its most notable trait was its immortality under the cover of night.
The Elf Queen gave a soft hum of acknowledgment. “But my life is nearing its end. I only hope to ensure the survival of the elves before that happens.”
“Go now. While I can still protect our people, find us a reliable ally…”
“I will!” Lita’s eyes glistened with tears. This newly crowned queen was barely over 300 years old—much younger than Lita herself.
Yet she bore such a heavy burden, with her life soon coming to an end.
It was well known that elves had lifespans of 3,000 to 5,000 years—remarkably long.
But the side effects of Shadow Power devoured life force.
Lita adjusted her equipment and prepared to leave the kingdom. Her first stop would be to attempt an alliance with the dwarves. If that failed, she would turn to the City of Wicked Sages and the people of the seas.
Just as she was about to leave, the Elf Queen suddenly spoke. “By the way, have you found any clues about Lia and her group?”
“Not yet,” Lita replied with a hint of disappointment.
The Elf Queen sighed. “What a pity. Their family was the most suitable for wielding Shadow Power. Yet, due to the rejection of other clans, they suffered death and injury. Only a small group of their members, led by Lia, survived and fled.”
This was something the Elf Queen had discovered later in the elven treasury’s records about Shadow Power.
Lia’s lineage was descended from shadow elves who had regressed into regular elves.
Their bloodline carried an innate talent for mastering Shadow Power perfectly, unaffected by its life-draining effects, and could maximize its potential.
“Focus on finding an alliance. Our time is running out. After the goblins are defeated, we’ll undoubtedly be the next target.”
The Elf Queen’s words carried an unshakable conviction.
With a heavy heart, Lita departed with a few guards.
…
New Goblin King City
Lin Tian, following the deductions of the Life Simulation System, knew the coalition forces of the various nations would arrive today.
Over the past month, the Zerg Queen had evolved and could now directly produce fully-formed eggs.
With a month of nonstop production, a staggering fifty million goblins had been born.
This efficiency was twice that of before.
However, the cost was that the blood and flesh consumed per egg had increased more than tenfold.
Any empire would be unable to bear such an expense.
Outside the city, Lin Tian had ordered the goblin army to form ranks in advance, awaiting the enemy’s arrival.
The presence of fifty million goblins radiated an overwhelming aura that blanketed the sky.
Their energy was interwoven in black and white—some belonging to holy forces, others to demonic powers, and some to hybrids.
Each goblin had an average combat power of 5,000 to 6,000.
They were terrifyingly powerful.
Far superior to any elite soldiers from any faction.
It could be said that without even a commander, these fifty million goblins alone could force the Divine Continent’s forces into retreat.
They included land, sea, and aerial units—armored goblins clad in Zerg carapaces, infantry-killing goblins bred from centaur hybrids, flying demonic goblins, and powerful divine goblins.
Under Alice’s basic training, they had learned to cooperate across types of goblins. They were capable of leveling any empire.
This was why Lin Tian did not take Hercules and his forces seriously at all.
Human soldiers, even elites, were simply not that strong—reaching, at most, a combat power of 3,000.
They couldn’t compare to hybrid goblins.
Each goblin had unlocked genetic information from tens of thousands of female creatures, resulting in unparalleled strength.
Lin Tian stood atop the towering, thirty-meter-high city wall, gazing out over the plains. “The fools coming to throw their lives away have arrived…”
Recalling the results of the Life Simulation System, he knew this war would attract the attention of various Divine Pantheons.
Because of that, Lin Tian didn’t plan to intervene personally. His goblin soldiers alone could completely annihilate the enemy.
The One-Eyed Owl, Alice, and the others finally perked up, having nearly fallen asleep from the long wait.
…
Goblin Plains
Hercules rode a massive black-maned lion, leading an army of twenty-five million, exuding unmatched dominance.
Beside him were Perseus, the Desert Queen, and Visawon.
Flag bearers like Noradoff and legendary monks displayed an equally imposing presence.
Anyone personally leading a force capable of defeating gods would have a hard time hiding their triumphant smiles.
“Come, let’s show these goblins what true power looks like—not just talk!” Hercules laughed confidently, feeling more invigorated than ever.
It was the first time he had commanded such an enormous force—over twenty-five million elite soldiers.
Each soldier exuded confidence and pride from the depths of their bones.
Their momentum was awe-inspiring.
The Desert Queen’s expression was one of pure enjoyment as she batted her charming eyes. “Hahaha~ Even gods would retreat at the sight of us!”
“We should have united forces long ago! Otherwise, Gabriel wouldn’t have dared to bully us before!” Perseus added with a wide grin.
Of course, his true excitement lay in the thought of attacking the Star Sanctuary to capture Loael and the assault on the Elf Kingdom.
As they basked in their excitement, Visawon suddenly paused. He stared ahead in bewilderment, rubbed his eyes, and muttered, “Wait a moment—did we come to the wrong place? Why is there such a massive town here?!”
His words snapped everyone out of their self-congratulatory daydreams.
The group halted and looked ahead.
A colossal city sprawled before them. Positioned on a slope, half of the New Goblin King City was clearly visible.
Even more astonishing was the sight of an endless sea of goblin monsters densely packed across the plains.
“What’s going on?!”
“When did such a huge city appear out of nowhere?!”
“Did we really come to the wrong place?”
Everyone stared ahead in shock, their confidence and arrogance evaporating instantly.
Hercules immediately turned and grabbed a scout from among the soldiers. “What kind of useless intel did you bring me?! Didn’t you say this was just a small town with only about a million monsters?!”
“Your Majesty, I… I swear that’s what I saw before!” The scout trembled, unable to believe his own eyes.
At this, Hercules flung him far into the distance with a furious roar.
“Wham!”
The scout, weighing over a hundred pounds—even more with armor and weapons—disappeared into the horizon like a ragdoll.
Hercules emanated a crimson aura, seething with rage. “Damn it! How is this even possible?!”
In just a month, such a massive city had risen from the ground?!
And where had tens of millions of goblins come from?!
This defied all common sense!
“What should we do now?” Visawon’s face was grim, uncertain of their next move.
It was clear they had grossly underestimated the goblins’ strength. Recklessly advancing could spell disaster.
The Desert Queen, however, scoffed dismissively. “It’s just a city. So what if it was built quickly? Dwarves can build faster, and we’ve still forced them into hiding!”
“But there are at least fifty million goblins—double our numbers!” Visawon frowned deeply.
The sheer density of them was terrifying.
Perseus’s eyes gleamed with malice. He was eager to seize Lin Tian’s women and capture Loael. “What’s there to fear?! Even if there’s a hundred million goblins, they’re no more than fodder to be slaughtered!”
As a demigod-level War God, he couldn’t possibly fear the enemy’s numbers.
Especially when the enemy was the weak goblin race.
“Exactly! Any one of our elite soldiers can kill dozens of goblins with ease,” Hercules said, gradually calming down.
He even started to feel excited. “And we’ll get this giant city as a free bonus—two birds with one stone!”
“More like three or four birds! Hahaha! Let’s go! Maybe we’ll scare the goblins into surrendering without even shedding a drop of blood!” Perseus shouted excitedly, urging the army forward.
The two armies drew closer.
Hercules soon spotted Lin Tian atop the city wall. Clearing his throat, he called out from afar, “Goblin! Long time no see. Do you have any last words? I’ll give you time to say them!”
“Oh? And where does your confidence come from?” Lin Tian retorted with amusement. “My army is at least twice the size of yours. Not only are you unafraid, but you’re this arrogant?”
Hercules sneered, “Hmph! A swarm of ants can’t take down an elephant. Don’t blame us for being ruthless. I’ll give you one chance to survive: become our slaves, hand over this city, and I’ll spare your lives!”
“And hand over those women beside you as well! I’ll take good care of them, hahahahaha!” Perseus sneered, his gaze glued to Alice, unable to look away.
Hearing this, Alice’s stunning face twisted in visible disgust. “Your Majesty, may I kill him myself?”
“I’d love to kill him too,” Lin Tian replied coolly, “but some individuals are watching us. Let the goblins handle it, and we’ll aim to capture him alive…” His gaze turned toward the distant horizon.
At that moment, Lin Tian could clearly sense several immensely powerful presences hidden around them, watching intently.
Though these entities no longer intended to support or protect the demigods, they remained vigilant for any targets that could threaten divine authority. Lin Tian was undoubtedly one of their suspects.
This was why he planned to leave the battle entirely to the hybrid goblin army while he and his group observed.
The One-Eyed Owl couldn’t help but ask, “Is there still a chance to confirm that man’s identity?”
Her piercing gaze locked onto Hercules, even from such a distance. Hercules, sensing the murderous intent directed at him, shuddered. “Who is she? Why does she want to kill me so badly?”
Even Lin Tian’s presence hadn’t exuded such animosity.
“Don’t worry,” Lin Tian said, “I’ll ask for you later. If he really is the one who forced your mother and then abandoned you, what will you do?”
The One-Eyed Owl froze in place, and everyone looked at her with concern. Her identity carried enormous weight in their hearts.
Just as they thought she might deliver a sentimental response, her killing intent exploded. “I’ll torture him to death. Slowly. Piece by piece. He’s my enemy, not my father!”
“Good! If that’s how you feel, and if things are as we suspect, Gobu Yue will buff you several times over so you can kill him yourself,” Lin Tian said with approval, surprised by her decisiveness. He had expected her to harbor some inner turmoil, but her resolve was clear.
This way, her state of mind wouldn’t falter.
After all, if the One-Eyed Owl’s identity became public, the Divine Pantheons would simply dismiss it as a family feud between Zeus’s son and granddaughter.
Meanwhile, Hercules cursed loudly. “Damn goblin! I, the mighty Hercules, am speaking to you! How dare you ignore me? Aren’t you afraid of dying horribly?”
“Before I answer, let me ask you something first!” Lin Tian’s voice rang out, cold as ice, sweeping across the coalition forces like a polar wind.
They couldn’t help but shiver.
Hercules laughed scornfully. “You think you’re in a position to demand anything of me? Ridiculous!”
“Exactly! This mutt from the Wilderness doesn’t even know who he’s dealing with!” Perseus jeered.
On the Divine Continent, Hercules was universally acknowledged as the strongest combatant.
The number one warrior below the gods themselves.
He was even considered capable of slaying gods without a Divine Core.
The Desert Queen sneered, “A hopelessly low-level monster from the backwater Wilderness. He’s used to lording over small places and thinks he’s invincible. Hahaha!”
“Indeed,” Visawon said gravely. “That kind of arrogance is intolerable.”
Lin Tian’s voice interrupted their mockery. “Answer me this: over twenty years ago, did you go to the Wilderness? And did you do something despicable while you were there?”
“Yes, I did. I had relations with a woman there,” Hercules replied without hesitation.
Suddenly, his expression froze. What had just happened?! Why had he answered so honestly?
Everyone around him, including Perseus, stared at him in shock. They couldn’t believe what they had just heard.
“Have you lost your mind? A goblin asks, and you just blurt it out?” The Desert Queen snapped irritably, feeling deeply embarrassed on their behalf.
But Hercules paid no attention to their scolding. His head hung low, his pupils quivering slightly, a vague sense of unease and dread gnawing at him. Just now, he had felt like a puppet being controlled!
What was going on?
As he wrestled with confusion and fear…
On the city wall of Goblin King City, an overwhelming fury erupted from Lin Tian, suffocating all who felt its weight.
