Chapter 344: Displaying Strength, The Local Dog of the Wilderness!
TL: Sungmin
“Damn it, those lizards are heading for the royal palace!”
“All knights, head to the palace immediately!”
“These guys must be here with a purpose!”
In the streets, Noradoff, the captain of the Divine Strength Empire’s strongest knight order, spoke coldly, his gaze lifting toward the sky to the massive silhouette blotting out the sun.
However.
The knights nearby chuckled bitterly. “But, Your Highness, doesn’t the palace seem not to need our protection?”
“Not need it? Then what the hell are you being fed for? We—”
Just as Noradoff was about to explode in anger, he suddenly froze.
Slapping his thigh, he said, “How could I forget! The leaders of the Six Great Empires are still enjoying themselves at the celebratory banquet. With so many powerful figures present, they don’t need us at all…”
Although a normal banquet would typically last no more than a day, Hercules and the others, wanting to see if Gabriel would show up to request their aid again, had extended the festivities for days.
It also served as an opportunity to strengthen relations between the Six Great Empires.
At the Divine Strength Plaza, the towering statue of Hercules stood lifelike and imposing, exuding a sense of masculine and robust beauty that had been masterfully captured by the sculptor.
Anyone seeing it couldn’t help but feel a deep sense of reverence.
However,
After Lin Tian and his group appeared, the grand statue inexplicably began to show cracks.
In the palace’s grand hall, music and dancing abounded. A procession of top-tier maids attended to the heads of the Six Great Empires.
The atmosphere was filled with indulgent luxury.
Hercules and the others sat around a large, crimson dining table, drinking wine, enjoying the dances, or chatting and laughing.
For several days, they had basked in this revelry.
It was a level of opulence unimaginable to ordinary people.
Suddenly.
Loael, sipping a glass of red wine, stiffened slightly. “Outside… someone’s coming. And they’re strong.”
“Hmm?”
Hercules, drowsy from drinking, sobered up instantly. Motioning for the performers to stop, he sensed the presence. “Indeed, it’s an unfamiliar aura. To my knowledge, no one on the Divine Continent would dare intrude into my palace.”
“Tch. Other than us, the so-called factions of the Divine Continent are nothing but rabble. Hah!” Pendragon, already tipsy, sneered arrogantly, her cheeks flushed red.
The Desert Queen showed a trace of caution. “We should go take a look. We’ve been playing for days anyway—it’s getting dull.”
“I agree! I get the urge to chop something up when I’m drunk, especially weaklings. Hah!” Pendragon raised both hands in agreement.
The group exchanged glances and rose, heading outside.
At that moment.
Lin Tian and his group sat atop a massive dragon, surveying the surroundings. “The decor’s impressive. Just this palace alone is several times larger than the one I had rebuilt! And so extravagant!”
By comparison, the palace Lin Tian had asked Bill to help construct seemed more like a side yard.
“Why not just take this one? Rebuilding is such a hassle,” the One-Eyed Owl suggested with a mischievous grin.
She was clearly pleased with the place.
Lin Tian, however, shook his head. “We have the strength now. Of course, we’ll build something even bigger and better ourselves. Living in something tainted by their indulgences would leave a bad taste.”
Alice wholeheartedly agreed. “Yes, building something new is far better than living in someone else’s leftovers.”
“Haha, Alice, you really get me,” Lin Tian said with a calm smile.
Hearing this, the One-Eyed Owl muttered under her breath, rolling her eyes.
Swish!
A short axe suddenly flew out from the main hall in the distance.
Boom!
It landed heavily in the plaza, embedding itself into the white iron ore ground, shaking the earth violently.
Immediately afterward.
Hercules and his companions appeared one by one, their auras surging. It was clear they had no intention of greeting Lin Tian warmly.
Alice’s beautiful eyes gleamed with amusement. “Looks like they’re not here for pleasantries.”
“A Dragon Rider? And it’s an ancient dragon? Interesting. Where are you from? As far as I know, there’s no one like you on the Divine Continent,” Hercules said, slightly surprised but quickly regaining his composure.
Riding an ancient dragon was indeed rare.
But for someone of his power and status, it wasn’t particularly impressive.
After all, they could easily slay an ancient dragon.
Pendragon suddenly noticed something. “Hahaha! Is that a damn goblin riding an ancient dragon too? That ugly face—I should’ve aimed better and split it in two earlier!”
“Whoa, those two are absolute stunners! Don’t act rashly, guys. Let’s at least find out their intentions first,” Perseus said, his sleazy, pretentious demeanor fully exposed.
His gaze was glued to Alice and the One-Eyed Owl, unable to look away.
In fact, his mind was already running wild with thoughts.
Hearing this, Visawon, the Sage, finally spoke seriously. “Everyone, allow me to say something. Since you’re capable of controlling ancient dragons, your strength is undoubtedly remarkable. However, this is the royal palace of the Divine Strength Empire. Entering without permission might be… inappropriate. May I ask your intentions?”
As he spoke, his aura surged dramatically—both polite and imposing.
His words were courteous on the surface, but his display of power made his stance clear.
Lin Tian, however, continued to size up these figures.
His expression shifted from neutral to disdainful, his gaze filled with contempt.
Weak.
Far too weak.

Even the strongest, Hercules, was just this. He wasn’t even on par with a high-tier angel.
As for the rest, their average combat power was around 25,000. Alice alone could kill them all.
“Hey, what’s with that look on your face, you damn goblin?” Pendragon snarled at Lin Tian, clearly enraged.
Finally, Lin Tian spoke. “According to your perspective, yes, we’re people from the Wilderness. Our purpose here is simple—our former home was destroyed, and we plan to rebuild an empire. If you’re sensible, we can develop together. Of course, ‘developing together’ means you’ll grow under my leadership and management.”
As he finished speaking, Lin Tian’s gaze swept over the group arrogantly, exuding confidence.
For a moment, his demeanor even made them doubt themselves.
Pendragon immediately snapped, “Shut up, you filthy goblin! We were asking your master! Speak up, you two tramps!”
In her eyes, Alice and the One-Eyed Owl had to be Lin Tian’s masters. After all, how could a goblin control a dragon?
“No worries, no worries. Take your time talking—I’ll protect you,” Perseus said, ingratiating himself.
Hearing this, Alice and the One-Eyed Owl exchanged a glance and burst into mocking laughter.
Both said, “I think you’ve misunderstood. He’s our leader—the King of the Wilderness Monster Kingdom.”
Their words left the group momentarily stunned.
“This goblin is the leader?” Hercules asked in disbelief. Since the age of six, he had stopped even considering goblins worthy of his attention.
“So, you’re really just dogs from the Wilderness who’ve lost your home? Ha! Hahaha!” the Desert Queen pressed, unable to stifle her laughter.
Pendragon chimed in, “Homeless mongrels dare to strut around the Divine Continent and dream of founding an empire? I say we capture them and make them slaves!”
Hercules’s face grew increasingly dark. “So, you’re just a bunch of yokels from the Wilderness? Do you not understand your situation? Who gave you the courage?”
He now felt confident he had figured out their identity. They had to be monsters who lost their home in the war between angels and demons. If they couldn’t protect their own land, they weren’t worth worrying about.
Perseus’s demeanor shifted yet again. “Alright, alright, then let’s capture them as slaves. I’ll reserve the two women as my personal slaves. Heh heh heh!”
Lin Tian’s face turned cold. “I’m giving you an opportunity now. Are you sure you want to squander it?”
“Squander it? A lowly goblin like you—do you even understand what power means?” Hercules roared as his aura skyrocketed. His right arm bulged with veins, exuding overwhelming strength.
Boom!
He smashed his fist into the ground with terrifying force.
The earth shook violently. The impact was so devastating it felt like a mountain collapsing.
The shockwave uprooted massive trees hundreds of meters away, shattering them instantly.
The white iron ore floor cracked open, forming enormous fissures. The entire plaza was torn apart.
This was just one punch, yet its destructive power was unimaginable. If it landed on someone, their body would likely explode on the spot.
At the plaza entrance, a group of knights arrived just in time to witness this scene. They were so frightened they could barely stand.
“Oh my god, what’s happening? Is His Majesty angry?”
“What terrifying power! Please, Your Majesty, stop before the entire palace is destroyed!”
“Father, you truly are unparalleled!” Noradoff and others exclaimed in awe.
At the same time, elite forces from other imperial factions also arrived. A monk from the Sage’s City swallowed nervously. “I… I think I’ll switch professions.”
As long as he practiced martial arts, he could never surpass Hercules. The gap was too vast—like standing at the foot of a mountain, staring up at its peak.
Hercules smirked proudly. “Did you see that? This is what qualifies someone to speak! Not flapping your mouth about building a monster empire on our Divine Continent. How utterly foolish and pathetic!”
However, Lin Tian and his group, still seated atop their dragon, remained utterly calm.
They even looked bored.
The Desert Queen sneered, “Today, I’ll show you bumpkins from the Wilderness what true power looks like! Don’t be so ignorant and arrogant again! Rise, my soldiers!”
With a wave of her crimson sleeve, she scattered an enormous quantity of golden sand.
As soon as it touched the ground, it erupted into a fierce sandstorm, and one by one, red-eyed Sandstorm Soldiers materialized.
Hundreds. Thousands.
“So this is the Desert Queen’s strength? They say that as long as there’s sand, she can create an unlimited number of soldiers. In the Shurima Desert, she’s practically invincible!” the monk said in awe.
This was an obvious show of force—a demonstration of their might to intimidate the intruders.
Seeing this, Perseus wasn’t about to be left out. “Though unworthy, I’m often referred to as the War God among demigods! Will of the War God!”
Boom!
A powerful aura surged upward from Perseus’s feet, accompanied by an earth-shaking roar. The skies above the palace churned with his energy, as if responding to his presence.
On the battlefield, this aura alone could easily terrify enemy troops into submission.
“Beautiful ladies, you’ve been misled in that backwater place. A mere goblin has deceived your eyes. Follow me, and I’ll give you the most wonderful and romantic experiences in the world,” Perseus boasted, his tone oozing self-satisfaction.
Alice and the One-Eyed Owl, however, merely looked at him with stiff expressions of disdain. It was as though they were watching a circus performance.
Yet, to Noradoff and the monks, the oppressive aura was so overwhelming that they broke out in cold sweat. It was terrifying.
“Tch, if this were my territory, I could summon my army of millions of magical beast knights and scare these insects to death. Hahaha!” Pendragon mocked. Her most powerful asset was an army of millions of magical beast knights—enough to crush any opposition.
Of course, her personal strength was also formidable.
The Desert Queen suddenly turned to Loael. “Your Highness Loael, we’ve never seen your strongest ability. Why not take this opportunity to show these bumpkins from the Wilderness and wake up their malformed, shriveled brains?”
These words made Lin Tian’s brow furrow. The insult was cutting.
Lin Tian didn’t know much about the Desert Queen, but the others certainly did. Anyone capable of orchestrating her own husband Pharaoh’s downfall couldn’t possibly be kindhearted—she was undoubtedly filled with venomous malice.
Loael, however, shook her head gravely. “There’s no need for that. Besides, if they’ve lost their home and are seeking a place to rebuild, perhaps we could negotiate.”
Her starlike eyes, hidden beneath her cloak, focused on Lin Tian. She couldn’t help but recall something one of her companions had mentioned long ago.
Years ago, her companion and a demigod named Jeanne from the Wilderness had fought together against a Demon King. After the battle, they encountered a goblin invasion of the War Empire.
She suspected the goblin before her was the same one.
To think he had survived—and grown so powerful.
Visawon, the Sage, refrained from displaying his own power but firmly rejected the idea. “A monster empire on the Divine Continent is absolutely unacceptable! If you leave now, perhaps I won’t stop you…”
His tone was resolute.
It was only natural; who would willingly harbor a tiger in their home? The monster empires had been painstakingly eradicated, leaving only the neutral Elf Kingdom and Dwarf Kingdom. A goblin-founded nation would undoubtedly pose a threat.
“Did you not understand me?” Lin Tian’s voice turned icy. “I’m not here to seek your opinion. I’m here to inform you: if anyone dares interfere while I build my empire… one word—annihilation.”
His cold, frost-laden gaze didn’t falter, even when facing these powerful figures who had just shown their might.
His words left them momentarily stunned, as if questioning whether they had misheard.
They had just demonstrated their terrifying strength, yet he remained so brazen!
Pendragon immediately grabbed her battle axe. “Don’t waste time talking to this filthy trash. Let’s teach him a brutal lesson, then cage him for our amusement!”
