From Goblin to Goblin God - Chapter 341
Chapter 341: A New Continent, Couldn’t Wait Any Longer
TL: Sungmin
“Is… is it over?”
The monk stammered, his voice trembling, his expression filled with unease.
Those words seemed to take all his strength to force out.
As for everyone else, they remained stunned by the terrifying battlefield before them, unable to speak!
They had all prided themselves on being the elite forces of their respective empires, battle-hardened and seasoned.
But no matter how intense their fights had been before, they could never have imagined leaving the surrounding area in such a state.
A city spanning tens of kilometers had been reduced to rubble, with the nearby regions heavily impacted as well.
Noradoff, his forehead drenched in sweat, forced himself to appear calm as he said, “Wh-why… why don’t we see any angels or demons? Have their armies already retreated?”
Even so, the quivering in his voice betrayed him.
No one paid much attention to his demeanor, though, as they were equally puzzled.
All that remained in the battlefield’s ruins were a few scattered magical beasts and demi-humans.
The rest had long since followed Lin Tian to the Great Tomb.
“Who knows? What should we do now? We can’t even tell if it was the angels or the demons who won,” the monk said helplessly.
The group fell into a contemplative silence.
Picking through the leftovers was out of the question; this trip had been in vain.
The Dragon Knight Commander mused aloud, “At least, judging by the looks of things, all the magical beasts here are dead. I guess they won’t need our help to establish a church anymore. Overall, that’s not too bad.”
Even though the place had turned into a wasteland, traces of imperial architecture could still be discerned.
“Yeah, my father and the others were most upset by this insult. As long as the magical beasts are eradicated, it’s good enough. Shame there’s nowhere left for me to have some fun,” Noradoff said, cracking his knuckles with anticipation.
He seemed to have gotten over his initial fear completely.
The monk sighed and remarked, “Judging by the scale of these structures, this must have been the largest magical beast empire we’ve ever seen. I can’t even imagine what kind of magical beasts lived here.”
“Those creatures were truly pitiful. They provoked the angel armies and then got caught in a demon free-for-all. I doubt even one of them escaped,” the Mythic Adventurer Captain chuckled.
Where the demon armies passed, survival was rare.
And during a chaotic battle, it was even less likely.
Soon after, Noradoff issued an order.
“Set up the magic array. Let’s teleport back. I don’t want to spend another moment in this cursed place.”
“Understood.”
The Mythic Adventurers began setting up the teleportation magic array.
It had already been partially prepared on the other end earlier.
In no time, they teleported away, returning to the Divine Continent.
At that moment, atop the platform of the Divine Strength Palace’s highest floor, the magic array began to shine.
Everyone’s eyes lit up. “Someone’s returned!”
The leaders of various empires and factions waited in anticipation.
However, when they saw the entire group appear together, they were puzzled.
Hercules was the first to ask, “Noradoff, what’s going on? Why have you all returned? How is the battle going over there?”
Normally, only one person would be sent back to deliver a message.
Hearing this, Noradoff knelt on one knee, bowing respectfully. “Father, by the time we arrived, the battle was already over. There were no signs of angels or demons, only an endless expanse of ruins.”
Upon hearing this, the other leaders turned to their subordinates.
The monk nodded heavily.
The Adventurers and the Dragon Knights did the same. Meanwhile, the three sandstorm soldiers gathered near the Desert Queen, speaking in the ancient language of the Shurima Empire.
“It’s true. Sandstorm Soldiers never lie,” the Desert Queen said, her expression filled with regret.
No one could be happy about missing such an opportunity.
After all, it had been a chance to obtain a Divine Core.
They were all qualified to become gods but lacked a Divine Core to ascend.
Hercules sighed deeply. “What a shame…”
The monk interjected, “But, my Lord Sage, there’s some good news. Based on our observations, that enormous magical beast empire has been completely leveled. It seems you won’t need to bother helping to establish a church there.”
All the magical beasts had been eradicated, leaving only the weak and elderly.
Surely the angelic believers could handle things on their own.
“Really? That’s fantastic! I had no desire to do that labor for them anyway!” Pendragon exclaimed excitedly, his eyes sparkling.
With that settled, Hercules made a final arrangement. “It’s been so long since we’ve gathered for a feast. Let’s take this opportunity to celebrate. If Gabriel comes to me later, I’ll let you know.”
“Gladly,” the Desert Queen said with a seductive smile.
The others relaxed, their worries easing as they prepared to unwind.
But Perseus looked enviously at Pendragon.
“Pendragon, you’ve lived for centuries. Are you still not planning to find a man? Just a reminder—pick someone capable, like me!”
Though Pendragon was petite in stature…
She pulled out two short axes with no hesitation, her small mouth full of sharp teeth spouting off furiously, “Trash! You think you’re worthy of me? I am the daughter of Odin! One day, I’ll be the woman of the God King! I don’t need any man!”
“Don’t get so worked up; careful with those axes,” Perseus quickly backed down at the sight.
Had he not been starving for so long, he wouldn’t have dared test her temper.
Hercules couldn’t help but mock him. “Brother, you’re the God of War among demigods, yet you have such terrible taste? That one’s got nothing going for her. Even my maid here is a hundred times better!”
He gestured toward the brown-haired maid holding a tray beside him.
She was undeniably exquisite, her figure alone a feast for the eyes.
After all, every maid had been carefully selected.
“You’re right,” Perseus said, stroking his stubble-covered chin. “I must be too hungry. If I were to pick, it should be someone like Princess Loael. I haven’t seen her face yet, but with that figure, she outclasses this little one by miles.”
His gaze drifted to Pendragon and Loael.
There’s no harm without comparison.
Hearing this, Pendragon became agitated. “What did you say? I’ll cut you down! For women, those things are nothing but burdens! My body is strong and agile!”
“Pfft…”
The maid couldn’t hold back her laughter.
But the next second, she regretted it.
A chilling cold, as if from the Northern Snowfields, shot up her spine.
Swish!
Pendragon had teleported behind her at some point, swinging a short axe down with a sharp motion!
Blood splattered everywhere.
A severed leg flew across the ground.
“Ah! Your Majesty, save me!” the maid wailed, collapsing onto the floor, watching crimson blood pour from her wound.
Hercules’ expression darkened. But remembering Pendragon’s nickname as the “Little Demon,” he decided to let it slide. “Someone, take her away for treatment.”
Pendragon’s moniker wasn’t for show.
She was ruthless and exceedingly brutal.
In the Northern Snowfields, where the economy revolved around trading magical creatures, she had built a unique industry for magical pets.
Her savagery was such that she beat those magical creatures into submission. If they weren’t docile, she’d kill them, skin them, and sell their meat.
For magical creatures with intelligence, they surrendered on the spot.
Even the less intelligent ones were forcibly subdued.
“Princess Loael, what do you think?” Perseus didn’t care about any of this. His lustful eyes were fixated on the black-clad figure beside him.
Under that tight black outfit was undoubtedly a celestial beauty.
And those radiant eyes, bright as the stars, were enough to make anyone lose their mind.
Feeling uncomfortable under his gaze, Loael replied, “Mr. Perseus, please behave yourself.”
With that, she turned and headed downstairs toward the banquet.
“Damn it! Why do they all act so high and mighty? I’m the God of War! They’re all just filthy women! If I ever get my hands on them, I’ll make sure they understand the meaning of true cruelty!”
Perseus fumed, his face turning red with anger.
From the beginning, he had always been lecherous.
By now, ordinary women no longer caught his eye. He only desired those with power, status, or unmatched beauty.
But after numerous attempts, he had yet to succeed even once.
Not even Pendragon had fallen for his advances.
It was enough to break him.
…
In the Great Tomb.
Lin Tian resided in the Dark Palace, formerly Veronica’s dwelling.
It was vast and spacious.
The camp was running smoothly under the management of Lia, Goblin Slayer, and others.
Everything was harmonious.
After this period of training, his stats had stabilized.
His combat power had reached 49,000, close to 50,000.
Of the four Divine Cores in his possession, he had already given one to Celeste, letting her return to reorganize the demon race, as some of them had survived.
As for Lucifer’s situation, the surviving high demons all supported Lin Tian, claiming Lucifer had died at Gabriel’s hands.
“Boss, are you still stabilizing your abilities? I want to ask you something…” a cautious voice called from the lowest level of the main hall.
It was Gobu Yue, speaking with utmost care.
Lin Tian slowly rose and said, “Gobu Yue? Speak your mind; there’s no need to be so reserved.”
At his words, Gobu Yue grinned sheepishly. “It’s just… Boss feels completely different from before. So strong, so unfamiliar.”
“Back then, the monster summoned by Princess Sara said I was some kind of Old God. Is it true?”
She had been brooding over what the Three-Life Demon Armor had said, unable to piece together her past memories.
Hearing this, Lin Tian remembered. “I almost forgot about that. Come on, let’s go find Sara.”
“Mm-hmm!” Gobu Yue nodded enthusiastically, holding Lin Tian’s arm as they walked out.
They eventually found Sara on the surface.
She was observing the captured high-tier angel Nael alongside Alicenia and the others.
Never in her wildest dreams had she thought she’d one day stand victorious before an exalted angel.
What an honor!
She felt extremely fortunate to have decided to follow Lin Tian. Otherwise, she would still be living on that barren land, enduring the monotony of day after day.
“Sara, summon the Three-Life Demon Armor,” Lin Tian said.
Hearing this, Sara froze momentarily. “Your Majesty, he mentioned before that if he’s summoned but not used in battle, he’ll get angry…”
The One-Eyed Owl tore her attention away from Nael and said irritably, “Are you stupid? That ghostly thing—I’m confident I could beat it now! And this guy’s strength is absolutely absurd!”
“Lin Tian’s power surged after his evolution. Don’t worry, Sara,” Alicenia added.
Only then did Sara snap back to reality. “Oh, right, I nearly forgot. Summoning Troy!”
She hurriedly took out the magic stone and began casting.
A magic formation accompanied by crackling lightning appeared.
It emanated a mixture of sorrowful emotions—despair, pain, loneliness…
The voice of the Three-Life Demon Armor echoed like a demon’s whisper. “This world again… Feel my agony…”
Yet, something seemed off. His voice abruptly stopped.
Several incredibly powerful presences were right in front of him. Very close. Too close.
The sheer force pressed against him, making him feel suffocated.
“Goblins? You…! Unbelievable. In such a short time, you’ve grown to a power rivaling that of a Chief God! And those two fallen ones… and even… a Fallen God…”
Light flickered in the eyes of the Three-Life Demon Armor, and his tone softened considerably.
He stood obediently in place.
Lin Tian’s eyes brightened slightly. This guy seemed to understand the situation. “I mean you no harm. I just want to ask something specific about her.”
He pointed to Gobu Yue.
The Three-Life Demon Armor followed his gaze and replied, “I don’t have much to say. I can only sense the aura of a fellow Fallen God. As for specifics, she’ll need to awaken her memories herself.”
Everyone’s expressions grew solemn.
They were deeply curious about this matter.
“How can she awaken her memories?” Lin Tian pressed on.
The Three-Life Demon Armor shook his head. “Normally, they awaken not long after reincarnation. Unless she’s carrying too much within her. In that case, her body may not yet be capable of handling it, and a protective mechanism would keep those memories sealed.”
This explanation clicked with Lin Tian.
It was akin to a program still loading.
However, one thing worried him. “If she awakens her memories, will she lose her current ones?”
“That won’t happen. You can rest assured,” the Three-Life Demon Armor reassured him. “But, as we Old Gods, each of us was once a dazzling existence. Whether she’ll choose to remain by your side after awakening is another matter.”
The Three-Life Demon Armor had guessed Lin Tian’s concerns and directly addressed them.
The group stared at Gobu Yue in astonishment.
No one knew what kind of person or entity she might become in the future.
Would she truly abandon them and leave?
Despite this, Lin Tian felt confident. “Alright, you can return now.”
At the very least, he believed that Gobu Yue, even after awakening her memories, wouldn’t choose to leave him.
The Three-Life Demon Armor shot Sara a glance, signaling her to dismiss him.
Even he felt uneasy facing Lin Tian now.
It wasn’t just his strength—it was the terrifying speed of his growth, along with his potential to independently establish a Divine Pantheon.
The concept of a god who created everything behind the scenes wasn’t like the current New or Old Pantheons.
It was an unknown, yet palpably formidable existence.
Even some races that received God’s Blessings traced them back to this being—not the current Pantheons.
Lin Tian gently patted Gobu Yue’s head. “Be patient. Sooner or later, your memories will return. I’ll be here with you.”
“Boss…” Gobu Yue’s voice was low, tinged with unease.
She still had no idea who she used to be or what kind of existence she had once been.
“Stop brooding. I don’t want to stay in that damp, dark underground palace anymore. When are we heading to the Divine Continent to find a new domain and establish a nation?” the One-Eyed Owl’s impatient voice rang out.
She could hardly wait.
Even though they had just emerged from an earth-shattering battle.
Lin Tian has a lot of reliable allies and now is supported even by demons. I hope Lia and Goblin Slayer will have their time to shine soon.
Sara is at least the most fortunate Troyan to be able to participate the most glorious battle ever.
