From Goblin to Goblin God - Chapter 361
Chapter 361: The Dwarven Bunker! Loael’s Choice!
TL: Sungmin
“Wait! Let us out first!”
Megicula and Monch shouted in a panic.
Even the Blood Demon God Dante admitted there was nothing he could do against this attack. His body could liquefy into blood, making him immune to physical attacks.
But at such extreme temperatures, even blood would evaporate.
Hotu let out a cold snort. “I’ll try not to splash the molten iron on you! But this goblin must die here today!”
As he spoke, Overloaded Operation reached full power!
Scalding molten iron erupted in all directions!
The grand doors instantly melted, and the floor became a sea of molten iron, leaving no escape.
Everyone scurried like ants on a hot pan, doing their best to dodge.
But the steam would only grow, filling the entire hall until there was nowhere left to hide.
Dante’s face twisted in fury. “Why don’t we just kill that bastard?!”
If they waited any longer, they would be out of options.
Megicula quickly stopped him. “For the sake of reviving Great Demon God Satan, we shouldn’t completely fall out with the dwarves just yet. Break down this palace and escape!”
At this point, there was no other choice.
Though the palace’s material was incredibly tough, it was still better than waiting to die.
“Swish!”
Dante slit his own wrist, spilling two streams of blood.
The blood flowing onto the floor instantly solidified, transforming into Twin Blood Swords!
He stabbed them into the palace walls, unleashing a barrage of rapid strikes.
Seeing this, Loael also joined in, attacking with magic.
At last, after the walls had been stabbed into a mesh, Loael’s powerful magic blasted them open.
The group hurriedly escaped outside.
Megicula cursed angrily. “Look at the allies you brought! We almost died because of them!”
But as she turned around—
She realized that Lin Tian and his group hadn’t come out.
Dante smirked smugly. “I’d guess they’ve already been steamed alive under thousands of degrees of molten iron.”
Inside the palace—
The scalding steam raged wildly, yet it couldn’t touch Lin Tian and the others.
Sylph controlled it, effortlessly blowing all the steam away.
Lin Tian’s gaze brimmed with killing intent, though his tone was filled with confusion. “Why take things this far? I don’t even like killing.”
“Kill me? I’d like to see you try!”
“Attack mode switch—Spray Mode!”
Hotu no longer held back. If steam was ineffective and the molten iron missed its target, then he would turn it into a shower!
In Spray Mode, the molten iron spread like a dense showerhead.
Even a single drop landing on the head would melt flesh, bones, and marrow—the victim would be half-cooked before it even reached the brain.
A drop hitting the chest would burn straight through the body!
“Come on, low-level monster!”
Hotu could already picture Lin Tian’s gruesome death. After all, he had killed many gods with this move before.
Back when the dwarves hadn’t finished building their bunkers, they had suffered countless divine assassinations.
But suddenly—
Hotu froze entirely.
An indescribable unease overwhelmed him.
A sense of impending death crashed into his mind!
It felt like drowning in the deep sea, suffocating!
In that instant, he realized—
He couldn’t hear anything anymore.
All he saw was Lin Tian, calmly raising his hand, gesturing lightly.
The suffocating sensation intensified.
“This… this is impossible… impossible…”
In his final moment, Hotu wanted to scream hysterically, but he no longer had the strength.
His entire body collapsed with a crash!
“Clang!”
The heavy armor he wore even shattered the palace floor upon impact.
With the last few convulsions, Hotu died in despair.
But the most agonizing thing was that he died without ever understanding how.
That was an agony that would linger for eternity.
Lin Tian quickly commanded, “Strip his armor. It’s a good piece of equipment. And that short sword—if we can lengthen it, it can be used to develop Alice.”
“Huh?” One-Eyed Owl blinked in confusion.
“I mean, let her practice dual-wielding.” Lin Tian quickly corrected himself.
“Oh…” However, Alice’s voice carried a hint of disappointment.
Bill, standing nearby, looked at them with disdain. “Damn, your group is really messy. But this armor is indeed good. The Pressure Runes on it are something we could never craft.”
The armor’s pressure system allowed it to spray such large amounts of molten iron—all thanks to the Pressure Runes.
Of course, the molten iron itself was stored within Storage Runes, and Energy Runes absorbed power to heat the iron.
Crafting a magic device was an incredibly complex process.
Across the entire Divine Continent, aside from dwarves, no other race could forge high-quality magic devices.
“What’s going on? It’s gone quiet?”
Outside, Wicked Sage Monch peeked in cautiously.
Dante, bold as ever, strode back inside. But when he saw the scene before him—
His entire mind went blank!
Megicula and Loael quickly followed behind.
Lin Tian and his group were dismantling Hotu’s armor.
“How is this possible? Hotu is dead? But there’s not a single wound on his body—why?!”
Megicula’s face was full of disbelief.
If anyone could kill like this, she was one of them.
It had to be curse-type magic.
But Lin Tian and his group didn’t look like they could use that kind of magic at all, and she hadn’t sensed anything either.
At that moment—
Dante’s eyes gleamed with greed as he stared at the powerful armor. He rushed forward. “Get lost! Get lost! This armor is mine!”
Never mind how Hotu had died. If he could snatch that armor, he’d be able to stand his ground even against a siege of gods!
If he combined it with space-binding magic, he could slaughter gods with ease.
Unfortunately—
By the time he reached it, Lin Tian had already stored the entire set into his space ring.
But then his gaze shifted to the side—
On the ground, the short sword remained.
At the very least, it was a top-tier Sun-Class weapon!
Without hesitation, he lunged for it!
Just as his hand was about to grasp it—
“Swish!”
A long sword suddenly shot through the air, slicing his arm off in one swift motion!
Alice used Wind Magic to whirl the short sword into her hand.
She glared at Dante, her expression ice-cold. “This is our spoils of war. You have no right to touch it. Otherwise, next time—I’ll aim for your head.”
“You arrogant bitch!”
Dante’s face twisted in rage. His severed arm instantly regrew, transforming into a sharp claw as he lunged to tear Alice apart!
“Enough! I don’t know how Hotu died, but this should be their spoils of war! Dante, don’t forget that Lin Tian is our ally! Compared to magic equipment, reviving Great Demon God Satan is what truly matters!”
Loael’s voice suddenly rang out, stopping the conflict.
She didn’t know how Hotu had died.
But she was sure Lin Tian had done it.
Because before this, Barcelona—the strongest Star-Class Adventurer—had died just like this, without warning!
At that moment—
Megicula sneered coldly. “Hmph, you really lucked out. Hotu was probably killed by his own armor’s backlash. That thing is useless.”
Judging by the way Hotu died, she figured he had been scalded to death by the steam.
After all, steam doesn’t discriminate between friend or foe. Hotu, positioned at the center, should have been burned to death.
What she didn’t know was that the steam was entirely fueled by his own magic power, meaning it couldn’t harm him.
“Our real problem now is explaining this to the Dwarven King!”
Megicula’s eyes gleamed with malice as she locked her gaze onto Lin Tian.
“A marquis got into a conflict with us and died on the surface. How do you think the dwarves will react?”
Dante quickly chimed in, “What else? Hand him over to the dwarves and let them deal with him! It’s not like we fought Hotu!”
“Y-Yeah, that makes sense! I support it!” Monch cautiously added.
He had never liked Lin Tian.
After all, goblins had never had a good reputation.
Hearing this—
Lin Tian’s eyes flashed.
If the dwarven bunker was so fortified that it could resist even a God-King, infiltrating it wouldn’t be easy.
But what if he got himself captured instead?
Why not go with the flow and turn this into an opportunity?
Loael quickly tried to object. “Didn’t you just say Hotu died from his own backlash? Then what does this have to do with His Majesty the Goblin King? If he dies, it’ll only hurt our cause—”
Before she could finish—
Lin Tian cut her off. “I have always taken responsibility for my actions. If they want to capture me and put me on trial, fine. But leave the others out of it.”
“What? Your Majesty Lin Tian, have you gone mad?! Are you really going to plead guilty?”
Bill’s face twisted in sheer disbelief, as if he had seen a ghost.
Lin Tian had always been a master of twisting the truth to his advantage.
And now, he was suddenly acting like some self-sacrificing nobleman?
One-Eyed Owl quickly reached out and felt Lin Tian’s forehead. “No fever… Did you hit your head or something? What the hell’s wrong with you?”
Lin Tian sighed. “I just wanted to try being a good person.”
“Then… let’s get out of this mess first.” Alice seemed to realize something.
She gestured for One-Eyed Owl and Bill to leave first.
Megicula and the others didn’t stop them.
After all, the only one they had a grudge against was Lin Tian.
Loael, on the other hand, was utterly stunned.
“Wait, what the hell is going on with this world? One moment he wants to exterminate the gods, and the next he’s voluntarily walking into death?”
“Let’s go! Goblin, prepare for your punishment!”
Megicula sneered, then—along with Dante—escorted Lin Tian toward the dwarven bunker.
Monch hurriedly brought Hotu’s corpse along.
Loael was still in a daze.
What the hell is he thinking?
Is he planning to single-handedly destroy the entire Dwarven Kingdom?
No way.
If Hotu had a God-Slaying Weapon, he wouldn’t have survived.
Let alone the Dwarven King, who possessed multiple God-Slaying Weapons.
The more she thought about it, the less sense it made.
She decided to wait and see.
If Lin Tian really went to his death—then at least she’d be free from his control.
After all, as long as she recovered her full power, she would be strong enough to rival an entire Divine Pantheon.
All that talk about alliances and needing the goblins’ power was just bullshit.
Very soon, they arrived at the bunker’s teleportation entrance.
The dwarves guarding the gate immediately raised their weapons.
They had spotted Hotu’s corpse!
“What have you done?!”
“Marquis Hotu! Are you alright?!”
“Damn it! They killed Marquis Hotu!”
The guards roared in fury, raising their weapons without hesitation. They didn’t care who the intruders were.
These guards were no ordinary soldiers. Each of them had a combat power of 30,000, wielding Sun-Class weapons!
Megicula, however, remained calm and explained, “We’re here to deliver the murderer of Marquis Hotu to the Dwarven King. Please grant us passage into the bunker.”
“That’s right! This goblin killed Lord Hotu! We deeply regret this incident, but we will not let the murderer go unpunished!”
Dante spoke with a grave expression.
But in his heart, he was still scheming.
By handing Lin Tian over to the Dwarven King, he might seize the chance to obtain another God-Slaying Weapon.
Even Loael was tempted by the idea.
If they traded Lin Tian to the Dwarven King, they could likely request a God-Slaying Weapon in return.
However—
If she turned on Lin Tian now, she might suffer punishment.
After all, the contract was still in effect.
A servant couldn’t take actions that would harm their master—
Or else, they’d suffer a soul penalty.
And she was bound to follow her master’s orders without question.
“What’s wrong? Aren’t you tempted?” Lin Tian’s voice suddenly cut through her thoughts.
“Why not join them and hand me over to the Dwarven King? I can release our contract right now.”
Lin Tian had finally lowered his guard toward Loael.
After all, he had figured out her true intentions.
Then, without hesitation, he declared, “From this moment on, our Master-Servant Contract is dissolved.”
The next second—
The chains binding Loael’s soul shattered with a crisp snap!
“You… Are you really walking to your own death?”
Loael’s star-like eyes widened in shock.
Lin Tian merely shrugged.
The only reason he had done this was to test her loyalty.
If she still chose to stand by him, they could become true allies.
But if she betrayed him, then he would drag Megicula and the others into the grave with him.
At that moment—
The dwarven guards were itching to kill Lin Tian on the spot.
“A goblin?! Damn low-level monster! I’ll kill you right now—”
“Wait! Take him to the bunker and let the King decide how he should die!”
One of the guards quickly stopped the others.
He then turned to Megicula and the rest, bowing deeply.
“Thank you for capturing this criminal! The Dwarven Kingdom will never forget your service! Please, enter!”
“Swoosh!”
The Teleportation Magic Formation activated.
The entrance to the bunker was within reach!
For both Megicula’s group and Lin Tian, their eyes gleamed with anticipation.
Of course, Megicula and the others were only thinking about taking credit.
They had no intention of attacking the entire Dwarven Empire.
The Dwarven King’s strength was unfathomable.
Even the elite dwarven warriors, clad in Sun-Class armor, were unstoppable forces.
Lin Tian suddenly smirked.
“Well? Still hesitating? If you wait too long, you might miss your chance.”
His voice was casual, yet carried an unmistakable weight.
Loael was still in utter shock.
She had never imagined Lin Tian would actually release her from the contract!
Before, she had absolutely no fondness for him.
But now…
Perhaps he wasn’t such a bad person after all.
Maybe he had forced her into a contract simply because he feared she’d leak information to the Divine Pantheon.
If that were true—
Then she had no reason to betray him.
Loael took a deep breath.
“Wait! Hotu wasn’t killed by him! It was—”
Before she could finish, two piercingly vicious glares locked onto her.
In the next instant—
She was yanked into the teleportation array!
Inside the bunker
Before them, a massive, semi-circular steel fortress loomed overhead, its surface black-bronzed like an unbreakable shell.
It stretched beyond the horizon.
It was so massive, it was terrifying.
The outer shell of this steel city was covered in intricate recesses and protrusions, equipped with mysterious weaponry that no one had ever seen before!
It looked impenetrable, like an indestructible stronghold.
Megicula and the others, however, were unfazed.
They had clearly seen this fortress before.
Instead, Megicula turned to Loael and coldly snapped, “Your Highness Loael, have you lost your damn mind?! This is our best chance to obtain a second God-Slaying Weapon! Wake up and realize what needs to be done!”
“You haven’t forgotten, have you? That your people—the Old Gods—need their Divine Pantheon restored?” Dante smirked mockingly.
“Or are you just an idiot?”
