Virus King - Chapter 338
Chapter 338: Demon City! Return to White Emperor City!
TL: YYang
It had to be said Chen Bai’s actions were not baseless.
He had prepared thoroughly.
To say the least, he had already analyzed the new skill awakened by the “Scourge of the Living” profession. It was evident that its greatest potential lay in environmental transformation.
The ability to accelerate the creation of bacteria, the terrifying effect of enabling living organisms to evolve autonomously, and the “Blossoming of All Things” skill, which rapidly spurred biological growth—all these were proof that Chen Bai could reshape entire worlds, albeit on a smaller scale.
And this was Chen Bai’s true source of confidence.
In the Abyss, there were countless planes devoid of life. For example, from the 215th Layer’s “Fantasy World of Salisbury” to Baphomet’s “Arena,” dozens of layers were entirely lifeless planes.
This didn’t mean these planes were all apocalyptic wastelands filled with seas of lava and toxic gas.
In truth, even in such extreme environments, demons could still survive.
After all, demons were the most adaptive beings in existence, possibly without equal.
Even in places like the Sea of Lava, beings like Balor Flame Demons could thrive. This demonstrated the astonishing resilience of demonkind.
However, most of these demonic planes originally lacked demon life. Without the Abyssal Will seeding “Demon Eggs” in these worlds, no new demons could be born there. Even if some demons arrived in these desolate Abyssal planes via Abyssal Wells, most would not linger.
Over time, these planes naturally fell into complete disuse.
Yet, with some modifications and the Authority of the Abyssal Will, transforming these planes wasn’t impossible.
As he contemplated this, Chen Bai nodded to himself. He didn’t rush to scout these desolate Abyssal planes for one suitable to turn into a “Plague Garden.” Instead, he headed straight to the 1st Layer of the Abyss to inspect the progress on Demon City.
The progress was impressive.
The outer walls and the city’s framework were already complete. At the heart of the city stood a massive arena, fully constructed.
The arena, which could host tens of thousands of spectators simultaneously, took into account the large size of demons. Towering and imposing, it exuded a primal, bloodthirsty aura. Even a single glance would stir one’s blood, compelling them to step into the arena for a bloody battle.
Beyond that were the various residential buildings.
Redo had provided numerous architectural designs.
The construction of these buildings considered the physical size and specific needs of demons. Plenty of open spaces were reserved for future residents who wished to purchase land and build their own homes.
However, aspects like urban infrastructure—sewers, roads, and specialized city layouts—were not yet complete.
Still, Baphomet had undoubtedly fulfilled his task.
Impatient to return to his original world, the Minotaur God, who had been nagging incessantly, was sent back by Chen Bai. After inspecting Demon City and using his Abyssal Authority to establish the rules of the plane, Chen Bai left satisfied.
The Goblin Merchant Guild and Goblin Shops were still under construction.
It would take decades, centuries, or even millennia for Abyssal society and order to fully form and stabilize.
But for the Abyss and the gods of myriad worlds, such spans of time were insignificant.
Chen Bai wasn’t in a hurry to leave the Abyss. Before departing, he visited the 437th Layer to meet an old acquaintance.
The Succubus Queen, Mekanshut.
Amid a passionate and eager reunion, Chen Bai inquired about a particular figure in Hell: the Blood Queen, Lilith.
“Lilith?! You really ventured into Hell, Great Overlord?”
Mekanshut turned, her narrow eyes filled with surprise.
But soon, Mekanshut began speaking about the Blood Queen. As one of the oldest beings in the Abyss, Mekanshut possessed a deep and thorough understanding of the myriad realms, especially on such matters.
“Lilith was a deity born roughly ten thousand years ago. As the Blood Moon Goddess, she regarded blood as the source of life itself. In many worlds, there exist sects like the ‘Red Moon Cult’ and the ‘Blood Faith’ that worship her. However, their practices of blood bathing and sacrifices have earned the ire of countless orthodox True Gods.”
Lilith had reportedly disappeared for a long time, leading some to suspect that she had perished in an unknown divine war. However, it turned out she had secretly aligned herself with Hell’s faction, an interesting twist!
“Lord Overlord, you say Lilith created the so-called Blood Clan? It seems she has ambitions of her own,” Mekanshut said with a smirk.
A young True God wasn’t much in the vast cosmos of the myriad dimensions.
However, it was clear that within her faction, the Blood Queen undoubtedly belonged to the forces of the Evil Alignment.
Shaking his head, Chen Bai increased his pace. As Mekanshut cried and begged for mercy, he unleashed his pent-up tension from the relentless slaughter that had frayed his nerves.
“The construction of Demon City is nearly complete. Didn’t you say you wanted to build a district in the city, aside from your Pleasure Church and Pain Chapel, dedicated to succubi? Now that Baphomet has returned, the city’s framework is finished. If you’re still interested, you can move forward with the project.”
Mekanshut covered her mouth lightly, a hint of mischief in her eyes.
“This humble one cannot personally oversee it. If I do, those foolish demons won’t be able to accomplish anything and might end up dead before getting started. Instead, Lord Overlord, take my two maidservants with you. They are far more suited to handle this matter.”
As the Succubus Queen, the Incarnation of Lust, and the Lord of Pleasure, Mekanshut possessed an allure so overwhelming that even True Gods struggled to resist her natural charm, even without her divine power.
With this in mind, Chen Bai nodded. After half a day of intense “combat,” he finally took two demigod-level succubi to the 10th Layer of the Abyss, where he wrapped up his matters in the Abyss.
Chen Bai then returned to White Emperor City.
