Virus King - Chapter 333
Chapter 333: Departure! The Final Silhouette!
TL: YYang
On the summit of the Crimson Peak, still the tallest mountain, Lilith descended and seated herself on the highest point.
Below her, the Hell Archdukes dared not utter a single word.
Even Zepar, who stood at the very rear, involuntarily trembled ever so slightly.
It seemed as though he was once again reliving the events of the past, particularly the era when His Eminence Satan personally commanded Hell.
This most powerful incarnation of evil had left an unimaginably horrifying impression on Zepar.
Merely thinking of that name made him feel profoundly uneasy, unable to breathe audibly or even move freely.
Now, he was told that His Excellency Satan and the human Sovereign who had appeared alongside him had both descended upon Hell.
Such news made everyone forget entirely about the First Embrace Ceremony.
At that moment, Lilith’s voice rang out:
“This time, there was an unexpected turn of events regarding the First Embrace Ceremony. However, the previous arrangements must not be altered. Zepar, after this meeting ends, send Rika to Blue Star to participate in the God and Devil Trial Grounds immediately!”
Zepar was momentarily stunned but quickly nodded in agreement. As for Astaroth, her scarlet eyes narrowed slightly, but she dared not directly meet the gaze of this Goddess of the Blood Moon, lost instead in her own thoughts.
Lilith ignored the varied expressions of the Hell Dukes below and continued, her tone indifferent:
“And furthermore, I do not wish for this matter to be excessively leaked from Blood Moon City.”
This single sentence caused everyone to pause, plunging them once more into deep contemplation.
This matter?
Which matter?
Was it the First Embrace Ceremony? That made little sense, as this particular ceremony wasn’t much of an event to begin with—it was merely an internal affair of Blood Moon City.
Moreover, the other Hell True Gods had fully agreed to it.
Then was it another matter? Perhaps Rika’s departure to Blue Star’s God and Devil Trial Grounds, the search for the Abyssal Overlord, or the return of Hell’s King, Satan?
That matter had already been ordered to remain confidential by her Eminence prior to this.
However, Rika’s departure didn’t seem like a significant issue. But with the destruction of the Path of Life and Death in Hell, the other Hell Demon Gods would likely piece together some clues, wouldn’t they?
Despite their internal doubts and confusion, no one present dared to voice any objections to Lilith’s commands. In unison, they responded:
“Yes!”
Yet, almost instantly, a voice echoed from above the sky, carried from the Blood Moon to Crimson Peak!
A colossal head materialized in the heavens.
A massive devil’s head appeared in the sky, as large as a small mountain. It emanated an unimaginable power, with arcs of dark lightning coiling around it. Amid the thunderous roars, a deep, resounding voice echoed:
“Lilith, what is your status over there?”
“Your Majesty Beelzebub, the Path of Life and Death in Hell has been destroyed!”
Lilith immediately stood up and addressed the enormous head.
“I want you to imprison and interrogate every demon and devil that recently entered the Path of Life and Death,” the voice thundered, issuing orders with overwhelming authority.
Lilith’s tone remained composed, showing no sign of fluctuation: “Your Majesty Beelzebub, Blood Moon City is currently hosting the First Embrace Ceremony. The Path of Life and Death has already been sealed off, and only a few hundred beings have entered it to participate in the trial.”
“Good. Assign someone to handle this matter. Now, come to my palace immediately—something monumental is about to happen in Hell!”
The colossal head vanished as abruptly as it had appeared. Lilith rose to her feet, her gaze sweeping over everyone in the chamber. Her voice was calm but firm:
“Do not forget what I just said.”
As soon as her words fell, the light of the Blood Moon illuminated her figure. In the blink of an eye, the Goddess of the Blood Moon disappeared without a trace.
Astaroth’s eyes gleamed with complex emotions. After Lilith vanished, she stood abruptly and declared: “Ladies and gentlemen, I need to tend to the remaining matters of the First Embrace Ceremony. Please excuse me.”
Everyone nodded, still processing what had just transpired.
Astaroth, however, wasted no time. Leaving the Crimson Peak, she ignored the others lingering near the ruins of the Path of Life and Death. After a quick sweep with her gaze and a subtle spiritual perception, she locked onto a direction.
It was a place she had visited just days before—a small, unremarkable inn: Mad Demon Inn.
Her ring was there.
The owner of that ring was there.
In that moment, Astaroth finally understood what Lilith had meant earlier.
It was him.
That human!
It was undoubtedly that human with a Demon Bloodline.
Everything strange that had occurred was tied to him.
Why had a mere human-demon hybrid, barely at level 20, dared to mock and challenge her openly?
Why could such an insignificant hybrid rampage and slaughter in Secret Realm 13?
Why had this human, who had never been heard of before, suddenly been invited to participate in the First Embrace Ceremony?
And why had the Path of Life and Death collapsed immediately after his entry?
The truth was clear now.
Astaroth trembled violently.
That ancient King of Hell.
The one who had completed the trial deemed impossible by gods and even the Creator of Light, and who now reigned as the Abyssal Overlord.
That great entity, whom Zepar had once glimpsed in the God and Devil Trial Grounds, too awestruck to utter a word.
She had unknowingly interacted with him!
And she had even dared to make him kneel and offer his tongue?!
Her face turned pale with fear and astonishment, yet beneath it lay an indescribable surge of excitement.
Blood Moon City wasn’t large. In a mere moment, Astaroth’s figure appeared outside a familiar room.
She took a deep breath, steadying her turbulent emotions, before knocking on the door.
There was no response.
Frowning slightly, Astaroth instinctively pushed the door open.
Inside, she saw a figure.
A figure she had never seen in this way before.
It was still the same familiar silhouette, yet there was now an indescribable transformation about it.
Astaroth quickly realized where this change came from.
On his head, demonic horns were slowly forming, as the power of his Devil Bloodline surged from within him.
The aura of that bloodline even made Astaroth shudder in fear.
It was the highest tier—a Monarch-level Bloodline, belonging to the King of Devils.
In addition, on his golden-tinged hand rested a pitch-black ring.
That ring…
Astaroth began to tremble uncontrollably.
But the figure paid her no mind. In front of him, a shattered spatial gate loomed, and he had already stepped one foot into it.
Sensing the door opening behind him, the figure paused slightly. Turning his head just enough, he cast her a brief glance.
That glance burned itself into Astaroth’s memory for eternity.
The next moment, the figure vanished into the spatial gate.
In the quiet room of the inn, Astaroth knelt on the ground, trembling uncontrollably. Her face was blank, and she remained frozen, unable to move.
