From Goblin to Goblin God - Chapter 369
Chapter 369: Cursed Magic, Alice’s Heart Attack!
TL: Sungmin
“Dante, you hold them off while I prepare the curse! If we defeat them before Lord Satan awakens, we can take all those resources and act independently!”
Megicula’s eyes were filled with excitement as she spoke.
She was even looking forward to it.
After all, she was extremely confident in her cursed magic.
Among all magical attacks, cursed magic was indeed the strongest and the most difficult to learn.
The second most powerful was summoning magic.
Direct attack magic, by comparison, was quite ordinary.
Dante let out a grunt. “Then let’s go all out… maybe this is our opportunity! The turning point of our era!”
They didn’t have the strength to storm into the bunker and slaughter all the dwarves.
But they were confident enough to challenge Lin Tian.
“It’s been a while. Don’t be nervous. Actually, I came to thank you both for sending me into the dwarven bunker. If not for you, there’s no way I could have broken in.”
Lin Tian’s shadowy voice rang out from not far away.
It was true. The bunker had immense magical resistance, making it impossible to penetrate even with Jehovah’s Blessing.
Forcing his way through thousands of turrets was outright absurd.
Upon hearing this—
Dante’s expression shifted slightly. “Th-Thank you?”
The anxiety that had been gripping his heart loosened just a little.
But then Lin Tian’s lips curled into a sinister smirk. Even though Dante was a Demon God, the sight sent a shiver down his spine.
“Yes, as thanks, I’ll make sure you die without feeling any pain…”
These two had planned to kill him.
There was no way he would let them go.
Dante felt like he had been played for a fool, clenching his teeth in fury. “Do you know why they call me the Blood Demon God?”
“Not interested.”
Lin Tian absentmindedly picked at the blood and flesh stuck beneath his fingernails as he replied.
Dante nearly coughed up blood from sheer frustration. “You! Listen carefully! It’s because I can control blood! As long as you’re injured—even if it’s just a tiny cut—you’ll die without a doubt!”
“Alright then, I’ll stand right here and let you hit me. If you can even break my skin, I’ll admit defeat.”
Lin Tian’s voice was full of mockery.
Perhaps he would have been a little wary before.
But now that he was wearing Ganggu Armor? Breaking his skin was impossible.
Dante slashed his wrist open, letting out a flood of blood that quickly condensed into two massive blades. He charged straight at Lin Tian!
Alice and the One-Eyed Owl were about to intervene.
But Lin Tian raised a hand to stop them. “This guy’s abilities are indeed dangerous. You two just watch from behind. Oh, and if you’re on your period, you should probably step back a bit.”
“Wh-What? You bastard! What are you saying!”
The One-Eyed Owl’s face turned red as she huffed and took a few steps back.
And then she took even more steps back.
Alice, on the other hand, remained nearby, offering reassurance. “His Majesty is right. Lady Elizabeth, it’s best if you stay back. We can’t be certain he won’t use such despicable tactics.”
“Hmph!” The One-Eyed Owl muttered to herself, clearly embarrassed.
Dante’s face grew solemn. “I underestimated you, Goblin. You actually considered this so thoroughly! But our target is you!”
“Swish!”
The blood blades slashed down at Lin Tian with great force.
Lin Tian raised the Ten Thousand-Wheel Blade to block.
However, as soon as the blood blades shattered upon impact, they reformed instantly, bypassing the Ten Thousand-Wheel Blade to strike Lin Tian’s head directly.
A loud metallic clang rang out!
A powerful air explosion followed!
Dante felt a sharp pain in his hands from the recoil. He was stunned. “His defense really is strong!”
Even though Dante launched continuous attacks, Lin Tian wasn’t particularly focused on blocking.
Because he simply wasn’t worried about getting hurt.
“It’s a pretty good technique. A balance of offense and defense. If an enemy doesn’t have the right information, they’d either die on the spot or be crippled.”
Lin Tian actually praised him. He needed to find a way to take this ability.
But not for himself—he planned to give it to Gobu Kuang and the others.
After all, he needed to help them continue growing stronger.
Dante and Megicula were called Demon Gods, but they didn’t actually possess a Divine Core. Devouring them wouldn’t be useful to him at all.
Suddenly—
The blood blade that had struck Lin Tian’s head disintegrated into blood, coating the helmet of his Ganggu Armor.
Like a serpent, it coiled tightly around the helmet, searching for gaps!
It was trying to seep through and attack Lin Tian’s actual body.
Unfortunately for Dante—
He had underestimated the dwarven kings’ legacy. He had underestimated the craftsmanship of Ganggu Armor.
There were, of course, gaps—rather large ones, actually. Otherwise, breathing would be an issue.
But the armor was enchanted with extremely strong magic resistance and a spell-weakening effect.
The blood that managed to seep through instantly lost its connection to Dante, turning into nothing more than ordinary blood.
It could no longer be controlled or used for an attack.
Dante’s face darkened. “How… how is this possible?! Megicula! Help me!!”
Lin Tian’s massive hand shot forward, clamping tightly around Dante’s throat.
Ganggu Armor was nearly two meters tall, making Lin Tian’s figure tower over an average person.
“Cursed Magic: The Goddess of Misfortune’s Hatred!”
“Buzz!”
A series of black ripples spread out from the distance, enveloping Lin Tian and even Alice within their range!
A wide-area curse—far more terrifying!
Megicula’s face twisted into a ferocious grin as she declared, “The real show is only just beginning! What are you waiting for? Run!”
Dante snapped back to his senses, dissolving into a pool of blood with a splatter.
His liquid form seeped into the ground, rapidly fleeing.
Lin Tian frowned and immediately examined Megicula, searching for information on this ability.
[The Goddess of Misfortune’s Hatred · Mythic-Class: Anyone marked by the Goddess of Misfortune will meet a miserable fate. Luck will plummet to its lowest value—even into the negatives! The target will experience every possible form of bad luck!]
Just as he finished reading, Lin Tian turned his gaze toward the distant One-Eyed Owl, planning to call her over to use Roar of Hell Warriors to dispel the curse.
But an unexpected situation arose.
The blood that Dante had previously infiltrated into his armor solidified, locking the joints of the Ganggu Armor!
“It can do this too?!”
Lin Tian stood frozen in place as if petrified, struggling with all his might.
Unfortunately, once Dante’s blood coagulated, it became as hard as steel.
Megicula laughed triumphantly. “This curse works regardless of magical resistance! The moment it touches you, it takes effect!”
Even if it was weakened, once infected, the victim’s luck would plummet to the lowest possible level.
“Alice, call Big Sis over to help,” Lin Tian ordered.
Since the One-Eyed Owl was far away, she hadn’t heard anything.
At the moment, she was distracted by a butterfly fluttering in the grass behind her, completely unconcerned with the battle. She assumed Lin Tian couldn’t possibly lose or get into trouble.
Alice turned to shout but suddenly clutched her chest. “Damn it, Your Majesty… my heart condition is acting up…”
This was an old injury.
And it was Lin Tian’s fault.
Back when he massacred Bright Town, Alice had been so enraged that she nearly fainted from the surge of blood.
That was when she developed her heart disease.
She thought she had fully recovered—but now, of all times, it returned.
Dante’s lips curled into a wicked grin. “Kekekeke… As expected of you, Megicula. Partnering with you never disappoints!”
“This human woman is stunningly beautiful. I can’t kill her—I want to keep her~”
As he spoke, he slowly advanced toward Alice, eyes filled with greed.
Megicula ignored him and sneered. “Goblin, now do you understand that we’re not to be trifled with? I’ve even killed several Prime Gods before! You… are far from qualified to challenge me!”
Alice gritted her teeth, struggling to stand and drawing her weapon. “You’re too naive… I will never… never let you harm His Majesty!”
Last time, King Charles II died right in front of her eyes.
This time, she absolutely would not let Lin Tian die as well.
“Alice, just rest. Things haven’t gotten that bad. I’m just surprised by this ability, that’s all.”
Lin Tian’s calm voice echoed, steady and unshaken.
He continued, “I originally planned to dispel the curse and play with you two a little longer. But since you’re so eager to die, don’t blame me…”
Ultimate Domination was ready to activate!
“Thunk!!”
Suddenly, Megicula’s pupils contracted violently, and a chill ran down her spine!
She stumbled backward in fright, nearly falling over as she frantically shouted, “Wait! I should warn you—if I die, this curse will never be lifted! You’ll be struck by lightning just walking down the street! You’ll choke to death just drinking water! You’ll suffocate in your sleep! And the curse will spread to those around you!”
“Is that your final words? What kind of nonsense is this—since when does a curse persist even after the caster dies?” Lin Tian raised an eyebrow in disdain.
Megicula scoffed coldly. “That’s why I said you underestimate me! The Goddess of Misfortune’s Hatred isn’t my spell attack! I merely transmitted your information to the Goddess of Misfortune! The only way to remove it is for me to retract your information!”
Before she was severely wounded and besieged by the gods, her combat strength rivaled that of top-tier Prime Gods.
If she had a Divine Core, she could have even approached the level of a God-King.
All thanks to her arsenal of powerful curse magic. In truth, The Goddess of Misfortune’s Hatred wasn’t even her strongest spell.
[The Ring of Scorn] was her most terrifying curse.
Anyone close—whether family, friends, or lovers—would slowly turn against the target. They would be despised by all creatures, attacked on sight by everyone.
And it was a logical curse—one that could never be broken.
For example, a brother might believe you betrayed him, even if there was no proof, and would hunt you down with a knife in hand.
It didn’t matter whether you did it or not. What mattered was what they believed. No amount of evidence or explanations could change that.
Fortunately, Megicula’s strength had waned over the years, and she could no longer cast this curse.
“I see… The Goddess of Misfortune is one of the wandering gods from the Old Divine Pantheon, right? I’ll just find her later and kill her.”
Lin Tian remained utterly indifferent.
Wandering gods were those naturally chosen as gods, possessing the potential to establish a Divine Pantheon but choosing not to do so.
They were like rogue immortals—wandering deities.
For all he knew, the woman he had slept with last night might have been a wandering god.
Megicula broke into a cold sweat. How could someone talk so recklessly? “W-Wait! What I meant is that we can negotiate!”
“Y-Yes, that’s right!”
Dante had been paralyzed in fear ever since he sensed Ultimate Domination activating. He dared not move a muscle.
“As long as you give me a God-Slaying Weapon or magical device, and let us leave safely, I will retract your information!” Megicula hastily added.
Lin Tian’s expression was full of contempt and amusement.
“Heh… So now you want to negotiate? What if I say no?”
The entire area fell into an eerie silence.
Megicula let out a feral roar. “Goblin! Don’t get ahead of yourself! I’m the one giving you a choice, not the other way around!!! If I die, we all die together! And you—oh, you’ll die in the most painful, miserable way imaginable!!”
“You’re still acting so arrogant even after being cursed? You’re ridiculously full of yourself! Kill the Goddess of Misfortune? Hah! She’s a God-King-level existence from the Old God Era!” Dante spat viciously.
They had no choice but to go all in. Showing weakness now was not an option.
Megicula added, “Right now, at the very least, we’re negotiating on equal terms! Goblin, I doubt you’re foolish enough to miss that!”
This was her confidence.
From the very start, she had never planned to kill Lin Tian outright.
Her real goal was to trick him into handing over a God-Slaying Weapon before escaping. Then, she would simply wait for Lin Tian to be tormented to death by misfortune and swoop in to take everything.
“Equal? Satan, tell me—are we equals?”
The moment Lin Tian said this—
Megicula and Dante felt as if lightning had struck their minds. Their heads buzzed violently!
They turned their heads in utter disbelief toward the center of the church—toward the still-beating heart.
Thick black demonic energy billowed outward, gradually forming into the shape of Satan in his prime.
Overwhelming dominance. A suffocating aura of death.
Yet, this incredibly powerful Demon God respectfully strode toward Lin Tian—then knelt.
“Master…”
Then, he turned toward the two others.
“You two worthless slaves—how dare you be so disrespectful to our Master? Kneel!”
“Buzz!”
Demonic energy rippled!
The contract activated!
They, too, were Satan’s slaves, bound by an unbreakable contract.
Otherwise, why would they have remained loyal instead of running the hell away?
Megicula and Dante instantly collapsed onto their knees, their foreheads drenched in cold sweat.
“How is this possible?! Lord Satan… You—why would you obey that goblin?!”
“When did this happen… Didn’t you have a God-Slaying Magical Device?! When did this goblin—”
Dante’s pupils trembled violently, his heart sinking into a pit of absolute despair.
His face looked worse than someone who had just swallowed feces.
Hearing this—
Satan gave his command.
“Die, Dante…”
Dark Holy Word could order someone to die at the cost of magic power, but using the contract required no such cost.
Dante, overwhelmed with sheer terror, bit through his fingertip and pressed it to his jaw.
“No! Lord Satan! Goblin Lord! Please! Spare me! I was wrong! No—”
Before he could finish—
A sharp blood spike violently pierced through his skull, bursting out from the top of his head!
Without the use of magic, a body’s structure was just flesh and bone. And the brain was essential for life.
Dante’s body collapsed instantly, completely lifeless.
Megicula was so terrified she nearly pissed herself.
The aura of misfortune that had surrounded her vanished completely.
Her true form was revealed—black-purple skin, snake-like eyes, sharp fangs.
She looked somewhat like a demon.
But in truth, she belonged to a unique race—the Black Witches.
Megicula frantically shook her head, plastering on a sycophantic smile.
“Goblin Lord! I—I admit my mistake! Please, spare me! I can serve you! My curses are powerful!”
“They are indeed powerful,” Lin Tian admitted. “But you’ll serve me in another way. Want to hear how?”
His voice was cold and indifferent.
From his status panel, he saw that she had a natural talent skill—one he could obtain through devouring.
[Cursed Heart]: Grants the ability to use all forms of curse magic without the need for study. As long as one has sufficient power and mana, any curse can be cast.
Simply put, she was born to curse people.
Megicula, trembling violently, nodded desperately.
“I—I do! I want to hear it!”
Lin Tian slowly stepped out of his Ganggu Armor, walking toward her.
He gently patted her wicked, detestable face.
“I’ll have someone devour you completely… and inherit your powers to serve me.”
“F*ck!”
The moment he finished speaking, he stepped right into Dante’s brain matter and slipped, crashing onto the ground.
Damn it!
Talk about bad luck!
“Satan, have her lift the curse!” Lin Tian cursed furiously.
