Chapter 339: Titan God Succeeds! The Child of the Evil God Appears!
TL: Sungmin
Michael raised his hand, forming a strange magic formation directed at Gabriel’s head.
He began sealing her memories.
Moments later, Gabriel, who had been despondent, suddenly erupted with a blinding golden light. Her eyes surged with a frenzied bloodlust.
Adam’s tightly furrowed brow eased slightly. “Now, Goblin, you have no moves left!”
Without any means to replenish magic, they weren’t worried about Lin Tian using Dark Holy Word again.
Moreover, they had Michael, a mage who could double as a healer, providing an endless supply of magical energy.
Soon, the Angel Army began counterattacking, forcing the remnants of the monster demi-humans into a desperate retreat.
There were simply too many of them. After such a prolonged battle, the monsters were completely drained of magic.
Meanwhile, the resurrected angels were in full health.
“Goblin! Now is the time for your judgment!” Michael declared smugly.
The overwhelming golden light surged forward like a vast ocean, crushing toward Lin Tian and his group.
The sheer pressure was suffocating.
But.
Lin Tian recovered from his earlier stupor and sneered. “Oh? And you’re relying on Gabriel for that?”
“You will die!”
Although Gabriel couldn’t recall her previous memories, seeing Lin Tian made her burn with uncontrollable rage!
She charged straight at him!
Adam followed closely, intending to capitalize on their momentum and end things quickly.
“It’s over! This time, we’re really done for! I’m completely out of magic!”
“Not only am I out of magic, but I got too excited facing angels for the first time. I couldn’t control myself!”
“Damn it, protect His Goblin Majesty and help him escape! At least I got to eat an angel earlier, so dying isn’t a loss!”
“Your Majesty! Run!”
The remaining monster demi-humans shouted, preparing for a final, desperate fight.
Even in death, they felt immense gratitude toward Lin Tian. Following him had allowed them to experience things they’d never dared dream of.
“Your Majesty, we should retreat!”
Sara said helplessly, seeing no chance of victory.
The enemy was in perfect condition, while they were already a defeated army.
Even though Alice didn’t want to admit defeat, she silently agreed with Sara’s suggestion this time.
Facing the incoming army, Lin Tian simply smiled coldly. “Afraid? I’m not like those fools Lucifer and the rest, letting Gabriel keep me tied up…”
As he spoke, he slowly raised his hand, aiming at Gabriel!
Gabriel, now consumed by intense killing intent and wreathed in flames, closed in on Lin Tian.
Her blade was just a meter away from Lin Tian’s head!
“Die.”
Lin Tian uttered the word indifferently, clenching his outstretched hand.
At that moment.
The world seemed to freeze.
Gabriel’s blade stopped just a centimeter from Lin Tian’s eye, but she froze in place as if paralyzed.
The flames that had engulfed her wings dissipated, and her aura completely vanished.
Adam and the others, who had been gloating moments ago, were stunned. They stared in disbelief at Gabriel.
“Why aren’t you attacking? Just a little more, Gabriel!” Adam shouted anxiously.
Michael, equally bewildered, exclaimed, “She was so close! She could’ve killed that damned Goblin!”
Thud!
As they spoke, their hearts trembled with dread. Something was wrong.
Gabriel’s life force was fading rapidly!
The sword in her hand fell to the ground with a clatter.
Her pupils dilated as she looked down at her chest in disbelief. “You…”
Boom!
Her massive, winged body collapsed to the ground.
In her final moments, she regained her memories, but it was too late.
For the first time since becoming an angel, she felt a terrifying despair and unwillingness.
But in the end, she could do nothing and was instantly killed.
“Impossible! What did that damn Goblin do?!”
Adam, drenched in cold sweat, trembled as he retreated from Lin Tian, too terrified to approach.
Gabriel, at full power and in peak condition, had been killed in an instant!
Even Adam couldn’t suppress the intense fear in his heart.
Michael screamed in fury. “Gabriel! How could this happen?! Goblin, I will kill you! Mythic-Class Magic!”
As she spoke, radiant magic formations lit up around her hands, brimming with golden light.
The magic particles around her surged chaotically, moving at her command.
She unleashed her seraphic power, preparing to deliver her strongest attack.
“Hmph, you can die quietly too…”
Lin Tian activated Ultimate Domination again.
It was the same ability he had just used to kill Gabriel. Twice per day, it allowed him to instantly erase any being with combat strength below his own.
Adam’s strength was nearly equal to Lin Tian’s at the moment, so he couldn’t be instantly killed.
There had to be at least a 3,000 combat power gap for an instant kill to occur.
“Ugh!”
Michael let out a wretched cry, her body trembling slightly. She couldn’t believe she had just died like that!
Her body plummeted from the sky to the ground, following the final neural command from her brain.
After a few spasms, she lost all signs of life.
“Why?! What’s going on?!”
Adam broke into a cold sweat, terror surging from his heart and clogging his throat, making it hard to breathe.
He didn’t dare get any closer.
Looking back at the others, he barked, “Charge! Focus all attacks on the Goblin! Kill him first!”
The Angel Army of forty to fifty thousand surged forward, vastly more powerful than Gabriel.
No matter how strong someone was, they couldn’t fight so many opponents alone.
Even the weakest angels had a combat power of 15,000, a threshold that created a qualitative leap in strength.
If the gap was too wide, even a billion attackers couldn’t harm Lin Tian since they couldn’t penetrate his defenses.
But these angels were all extraordinarily powerful.
Seeing this, Lin Tian furrowed his brow. “Where’s the Zerg Queen? Hasn’t she produced new soldiers yet?”
“Not yet! Our dwarven army is about to be wiped out too!”
Bill’s voice came through as he piloted a warplane overhead.
Lowering his goggles from his forehead, he prepared to engage.
The surviving dragons roared, signaling the arrival of the final battle.
However, Lin Tian knew there was no way they could defeat such an overwhelming force. “At least kill the strongest among them before retreating…”
Before he could finish, a familiar figure appeared out of nowhere.
“Brother Tian! Sorry for being late, haha!”
Two figures appeared—a bald warrior in gleaming armor and a robed monk.
It was none other than Grugia and Osius!
The Dragon Slayer Guild members.
Behind them, the One-Eyed Owl, guarded by Gobu Yue, had just awakened and relaxed her expression. “Those two… I thought they were dead!”
Given the high mortality rate of the God-Making Project due to the extreme concentration of Titan genes, seeing them alive was a stroke of luck.
“You really know how to pick your timing. Can’t you see the Angel Army bearing down on us? Let’s retreat for now,” Lin Tian said irritably.
For now, escaping to build up sufficient forces was the only option.
Most of the enemy’s strongest combatants had already been eliminated.
However.
Grugia and Osius turned to face the army, bumping fists.
“The army? Leave it to us, Brother Tian!”
“What the—?”
Lin Tian felt a sudden surge of adrenaline.
Were these two about to unleash some incredible combo attack?
Even Adam halted in his tracks, staring warily at Grugia and Osius as they faced the Angel Army.
Where had these two fallen ones come from?
And why did they exude such a terrifying aura?
“Behold the results of our experiment!”
“Indeed!”
The two raised their hands and bit down hard.
The Titan God Gene activated!
At that moment, golden rectangular patterns covering their bodies began to emit a blazing light.
Boom!
Two massive bolts of lightning descended from the sky, accompanied by deafening explosions.
With them came two earth-shaking roars!
Two towering giants of unfathomable height appeared!
Scalding steam enveloped the ruins of Goblin King City, shrouding the scene in a misty haze.
Lin Tian raised his hand to shield himself from the steam. When it finally cleared, he could only see up to the giants’ lower legs. The rest of their massive forms stretched high into the sky, obscured by black clouds.
A wave of nausea hit him inexplicably.
However, the giants’ colossal frames, packed with robust muscles and lined with golden patterns, were utterly awe-inspiring.
“These things must be over 3,000 meters tall! They actually succeeded with their experiment!” Lin Tian said in astonishment.
With such beings as their allies, what battle couldn’t they win? This wasn’t just fighting one against a thousand; it was one against an entire nation!
Adam stared at the two mountainous figures, too shocked to speak. “These are… Titan Gods?!”
Only the Titan Gods from the Old Gods’ race could achieve such heights!
More importantly, their defenses were unmatched.
“Impossible! They must be impostors. The Titan Gods were wiped out by the Olympus Pantheon ages ago!”
Adam teleported to Osius’s head in an instant.
But Osius’s massive eyes locked onto him, radiating an oppressive terror!
Ignoring the giant’s size, Adam threw a Tenfold Supersonic Punch directly at Osius’s face.
Bang!
The punch detonated like a missile.
It only caused Osius’s facial muscles to ripple, raising a small welt.
Adam was utterly terrified. “It really has Titan God-like defenses! Impossible! Why would Titan Gods appear here to help mere goblins?! This is bad!”
Just as he realized his mistake, he felt a chilling sensation down his back. Osius’s massive hand was already coming down on him!
The sheer size of the hand made it impossible to evade!
With no choice, Adam teleported again.
“Now, it’s our turn to shine!” Grugia and Osius roared.
Grugia extended his hand toward the angelic forces, grabbing dozens of them in a single sweep. With a powerful squeeze, many were killed on the spot, while others were left grievously wounded.
Bloodstained feathers scattered and floated down like snow.
The two of them fought so ferociously that the Angel Army scattered in chaos, reduced to a disorganized mess.
Lin Tian couldn’t help but laugh. “These two really have some skills! They’ve opened my eyes. Just the two of them are holding back an army of forty or fifty thousand angels!”
With their colossal size, every movement shook the earth and sky, rendering the area around them unfit for battle.
“Damn it, don’t waste my evolution fodder!” Lin Tian cursed as his gaze swept across the battlefield.
Ignoring everything else, he moved to devour the corpses directly.
Including those of the Demon God and Gabriel, he had consumed eight in total—just two short of the amount needed for his evolution.
However, upon devouring Michael’s body, he realized it had no effect. Not even a single attribute point increased, let alone advancing his devour progress.
Re-consuming something provided no benefit—like eating a second apple after the first.
“The Goblin… Forget it. I need to figure out how to stop these two Titan Gods first!”
Adam, now in complete disarray, stammered in panic.
But it was too late. Gabriel and Michael were dead, leaving him without a key combatant and a powerful healer.
The more Adam thought about it, the more helpless and terrified he felt, realizing there was no way to change the outcome of the battle.
As if things couldn’t get worse, a strange, overwhelming aura emerged from a distance.
“What’s this? A heretic?! Is it that guy?” Adam muttered to himself, recalling Veronica.
Not far away, a black magic teleportation array opened, unleashing a torrent of eerie energy that spread like a flood.
Even those on Lin Tian’s side felt the suffocating presence and were affected by it.
Adam stared at the source, his pupils trembling. “What the hell is that thing?!”
Just looking at it sent chills down his spine.
Emerging from the portal was Veronica, accompanied by a nearly two-meter-tall creature. Its appearance resembled a goblin but with goat-like horns.
Its face was green and ferocious, with protruding fangs that made it horrifying to behold.
This was none other than the Child of the Evil God!
“I didn’t expect things to be this lively. Where is Father? Is he alright?” the Child of the Evil God said, its mouthful of protruding teeth moving grotesquely as it spoke in a chilling tone.
Veronica, visibly shaken, replied, “He should be fine. But did you see that guy? He’s your father’s greatest enemy.”
“Him?”
The Child of the Evil God’s eyes sharpened like blades, locking onto Adam in the sky.
In an instant, Adam felt a bone-chilling dread. This presence was overwhelmingly strong—far beyond anything he could contend with.
Lin Tian, busy devouring on the battlefield, also noticed and raised an eyebrow. “So they brought him here? I didn’t expect this guy to have grown this much.”
The Child of the Evil God, as a heretical being, was difficult to look at directly.
Lin Tian had kept him confined to the ruins of another empire, feeding him flesh daily to nurture his strength.
Now, the Child of the Evil God had reached a combat power of 50,000.
He was no longer something that could be controlled.
Fortunately, his consciousness had matured, and he recognized Lin Tian as his father, remaining loyal and avoiding any disruptions.
“Dare to harm my father? I’ll tear out your bones and feast on your flesh!”
The Child of the Evil God erupted in fury, transforming into a black meteor as he charged toward Adam.
His speed was so immense that sonic booms formed, leaving shockwaves in his wake.
The air compressed under his movement, distorting space.
Adam tried to use teleportation to evade, but the compressed space rendered it impossible. Left with no choice, he braced himself, charging a Tenfold Supersonic Punch to counter.
Boom!
The collision sent Adam flying, his right fist shattered into pieces, with his bones splintered and his flesh torn apart.
A heretical aura infiltrated the wound immediately, spreading tendrils into his blood and flesh. Black tendrils grew, binding tightly around his neck.
“What is this thing?! I can’t… I can’t do this!”
Adam, already paralyzed with fear, fell into complete panic under the dual torment of his own terror and the heretical buff.
The Child of the Evil God sneered in disappointment. “Too weak! You dare call yourself my father’s opponent? Die!”
He began circling Adam at lightning speed, launching a flurry of attacks while injecting him with heretical genes.
In mere moments, though Adam was still alive, his body couldn’t withstand the first exposure to heretical genes.
His entire form transformed into a grotesque sphere of writhing tendrils.
Even worse, the tendrils turned on him, burrowing into his flesh and devouring him from within.
“No! No!”
With two final, despair-filled screams, Adam was entirely consumed, leaving no bones behind.
All that remained was a grotesque heretical creature made entirely of writhing tendrils.
Lin Tian cursed under his breath at the sight. “Damn it! I was going to devour him! This stupid brat!”
Now, even with all his calculations, he could only devour eight gods in total.
