From Goblin to Goblin God - Chapter 331
Chapter 331: The Heretic Returns! Adam’s Counter!
TL: Sungmin
“Trying to leave? None of you will get away today!”
Gabriel’s voice was cold and resolute, her aura surging dramatically.
The twelve wings behind her ignited with radiant golden flames, fully activating the Seraph’s combat form.
She refused to give Lucifer and his party any opportunity to rescue Lin Tian.
She commanded firmly, “Adam, are you confident you can kill him? No matter what, this must end today. It is God’s will!”
Without the followers of the Church, the outbreak of a war among the gods would spell doom for Heaven.
If a divine existence perished, resurrection would be impossible.
They would vanish entirely from this world.
Facing Lin Tian, Alice, and the others, Adam appeared somewhat drowsy. “I’ll finish them as quickly as possible. Probably… three minutes.”
A shudder passed through everyone present. His words were wildly arrogant, yet he exuded utter confidence.
Lin Tian said gravely, “Spread out a bit!”
He glanced back, locking his gaze on the four high-tier angels rapidly approaching. They were nearly upon them now.
Of all times, an unexpected complication arose.
However, Lin Tian had already foreseen these developments through the Life Simulation System and prepared countermeasures.
Adam was indeed powerful, but even the strongest had adversaries.
At this moment.
Gobu Shan stepped forward, eyes vigilant as he faced Adam. “Don’t act rashly. Let me test his strength first!”
“Go ahead,” Alice said solemnly.
After all, within the Wall of Bones domain, Gobu Shan possessed an immortal body.
Without hesitation, Gobu Shan charged forward wielding Athena’s Spear and Shield, two World-Class magical devices.
His speed was extraordinarily fast.
His body bristled with skeletal arms, ready to counter attacks from any direction.
He looked both eerie and formidable.
As the skeletal goblin lunged, Adam’s eyes gleamed with curiosity. “A Goblin can evolve into something this bizarre? The mortal world is much more interesting than Eden.”
For someone like Adam, who had spent millennia guarding Eden and grown bored of everything, even women, the mortal world was a treasure trove of novelty.
Gobu Shan’s menacing crimson eyes were sharp and focused. A faint smirk curled his lips. His spear and shield attack was a mere feint.
The real strike came from his elongated bone spikes!
Swish!
The razor-sharp spikes gleamed, striking at incredible speed in a sneak attack!
There was no way anyone could react in time.
The spike was mere millimeters from Adam’s forehead, even grazing his skin. It was moments away from piercing his brain.
“Die!”
Gobu Shan exclaimed confidently, exerting all his strength.
Suddenly, his body stiffened. Something felt off. The strike had missed!
He focused his gaze, but Adam’s figure had vanished. The space was empty, littered only with debris and ruins.
Lin Tian shouted, “Be careful! That guy can teleport!”
Everyone heeded the warning, quickly distancing themselves by at least a hundred meters to avoid being attacked.
The One-Eyed Owl and Alice initially doubted the need to retreat so far. No matter how strong the opponent, such precautions seemed excessive.
However, the scene before them made them realize Adam’s terrifying power.
In an instant, Adam reappeared behind Gobu Shan, his right fist drawn back and ready to strike.
“Boom!!”
The speed of his punch broke the sound barrier tenfold!
The deafening sonic boom shattered all stones within dozens of meters into dust. The punch generated a shockwave cloud.
Before Gobu Shan could react, he was obliterated by a single punch, his body pulverized into dust!
Thankfully, the attack stopped short of vaporizing him completely. Otherwise, resurrection would have been impossible.
Fragments of bone quickly flew back together and reformed. Gobu Shan, panting in terror, stammered, “Boss, Lady Alice, everyone… this guy is… incredibly strong! Do not engage him!”
Absolute speed and absolute power! He could instantly kill anyone!
Combined with ten teleportations, he could annihilate ten individuals in mere moments.
“Oh? Even your internal organs are made of bones? How fascinating,” Adam remarked with intrigue. “Isn’t it, Eve?”
Beside him, Eve’s eyes sparkled as she observed Gobu Shan, finding him equally intriguing.
At this moment.
Recalling the earlier events, the One-Eyed Owl said, “His punches, enhanced by inertial acceleration, multiply their force several times over. Even I can’t match that level of power. What should we do?”
Alice frowned. “That’s manageable. It’s the teleportation that’s truly insurmountable. If he teleports again after the delay, dodging would be impossible.”
The delay was too brief. Even someone faster couldn’t evade in time.
It was utterly monstrous.
Michael and the others relaxed slightly, their tension easing. “Brother Adam, your strength is truly astonishing! Thank you!”
“It’s nothing. With such a cute little sister, I’m happy to help. Much better than someone else,” Adam said, smiling dotingly.
Michael glanced awkwardly at Gabriel and could only smile bitterly.
Then.
Adam flexed his wrists and looked at Lin Tian and the others. “Since he can resurrect, I’ll deal with you all first. I hope you can entertain me for a while longer. This mortal world is far too fascinating…”
He spoke as he began approaching, step by deliberate step.
His pace was agonizingly slow, yet it carried the weight of impending doom, like Death itself descending.
An oppressive pressure crushed everyone’s hearts. Cold sweat dripped from their foreheads, as none could predict when he might teleport behind them and deliver a fatal blow.
Amid the crowd’s mounting fear, Lin Tian stepped forward and sneered, “You seem very confident in your strength.”
“No, it’s just that you’re all too weak,” Adam replied, stopping with measured curiosity.
He stroked his chin and mused aloud, “Tell me, why would Goblins dare to challenge Heaven? Do you not realize it’s a path to self-destruction? If you lived quietly in the forests like other monsters, you could die happily of old age.”
His condescending tone was infuriating.
It felt less like a battle and more like a pre-execution interrogation.
Lin Tian’s lips curled into a sinister grin. “Heh heh heh, because I’m certain I can kill all of you… Veronica, I’ll leave him to you. I can’t wait to devour the rest of those high-tier angels.”
“Hah! Lin Tian, in the end, you always need my help!”
Crackle! Zzzap!
A streak of black lightning tore through the sky as the Master of the Great Tomb, Veronica, appeared!
An ominous aura of pure malice erupted from her, spreading in all directions.
Her crimson eyes burned menacingly within her skeletal sockets.
As her presence filled the battlefield, the Angels turned their gazes upon her, their fury blazing.
After all, it was the destruction of the Great Tomb that had directly led to the Church’s downfall.
Gabriel’s wrath surged anew. With explosive force, she blasted aside five attacking Demon Gods in her way.
Samael cursed, “Damn it! How does she keep getting stronger each time?!”
But to their surprise, Gabriel did not pursue them. Instead, she hovered mid-air, glaring at Veronica with fiery intensity.
“I never thought you’d still be alive! You’re the source of all this sin. Today, I will personally cut you down!”
Gabriel raised her spear, preparing to strike.
Adam’s voice interrupted her. “Little sister Gabriel, leave her to me. You focus on eliminating those Fallen Angels.”
“Hmph! If you can’t kill her, I won’t spare you either! I’ll judge you as well!” Gabriel snapped. Her sharp, intimidating eyes swept downward at the Demon Gods, making them scramble to ready their stances for another fight.
Each new layer of Gabriel’s fury only added to their despair.
Meanwhile, Lucifer, now holding a black blade, dashed into the fray to aid the others. Without intervention, the five Demon Gods would be slaughtered.
On the other side, Michael fumed. “Brother Adam, you absolutely must execute her! She is the root of all of this!”
“Oh? I didn’t expect someone from the Undead to stir up this much trouble,” Adam remarked, examining Veronica.
Before she could respond—
Swish!
In an instant, Adam teleported inches away from her, face to face.
The sheer proximity was unnerving.
Before Veronica could react, Adam’s fist smashed into her head, obliterating her skull. Bones scattered across the ground.
“What?! She’s… dead already?”
The One-Eyed Owl stared in disbelief. Turning to Lin Tian, she exclaimed, “You expect us to fight Adam with you? He just killed her instantly!”
The other monstrous beings and demi-humans groaned in disappointment.
“What was that? She shows up acting all impressive, and then this happens. What a letdown!”
“Well, we’re all going to die anyway. Let’s at least have some fun with an Angel before we go!”
“Fair enough. Heh heh heh!”
Just then, the scattered bones began to rattle and reassemble. In moments, Veronica’s form was whole again.
“I hate it when people scatter my bones! Adam, God, it doesn’t matter who you are!” she growled coldly, her fury palpable.
As one of the Undead, Veronica could not be killed. Her immortality wasn’t infinite lifespan but the inability to die by destruction.
“All of you… die! Summoning Magic!”
Buzz!
With her enraged roar, seven massive, black lightning-laced magic formations appeared in the clouds above.
Mythic-Class!
Lin Tian’s grin widened. He had specially prepared a Demon Fruit for Veronica to consume.
He couldn’t wait to see what she would summon.
The sheer size and ominous energy of the magic formations drew everyone’s attention—Angels, monsters, demi-humans, even the perfect variant goblins.
The aura emanating from the formations was overwhelming: a combination of terror, despair, sorrow, and indescribable dread.
This was an encounter with the unknown, one that left many paralyzed with fear.
For most, apart from Alice and Gobu Kuang’s group, this was their first time facing such a heretical force.
Naturally, the fear of the unknown gripped their hearts.
Even Gabriel felt wary. “What is this malevolent aura? I’ve never sensed anything like it before!”
“It can’t be… no way! Heretics can actually manifest in the mortal world?” Lucifer’s expression darkened drastically.
Long ago, in his quest for power to defeat God, Lucifer had investigated otherworldly realms. However, upon discovering the Heretical World, he had fled immediately, abandoning the idea forever. It was simply too horrifying, too dangerous.
And now, that old fear came rushing back.
Even Adam, for the first time, showed a serious expression. Soon, though, it turned into a playful smirk. “Interesting, truly interesting! What could this possibly be?”
Within the magic formation crackling with black lightning, an overwhelming sense of unease continued to build.
Even Lin Tian felt a tinge of fear. “What kind of power has she obtained? What kind of monster is she summoning?”
Gradually.
From the formation, a mass of black mist appeared, coalescing into a cloaked, shadowy creature. Its features were hidden, save for a pair of eerie crimson eyes.
It had no limbs, floating midair on currents of black mist, and stood a towering four to five meters tall.
Then came the unexpected. Though it seemed to lack arms and legs, four arms and five legs suddenly emerged from within the cloak!
But it didn’t stop there.
Another identical creature walked out from within the first one’s cloak.
From this second being’s cloak, more limbs emerged, and yet another identical entity stepped out.
The process repeated endlessly until the sky was filled with hundreds of these creatures!
Each was as powerful and grotesque as the last.
“What… what are these things? How can they create so many duplicates?”
“Ahh! My eyes—no, my head hurts just looking at them! I can’t focus on them!”
“Such a bizarre monstrosity. If they keep splitting, won’t we be left with nothing to do?”
The monstrous demi-humans murmured among themselves, quickly realizing the heretics’ unique nature. They couldn’t be looked at directly without suffering a severe mental assault.
Watching the scene unfold, Lin Tian also found it strange. “Combat power of 40,000? That doesn’t make sense. Even if she ate the Demon Fruit, she shouldn’t be able to summon such a powerful heretic!”
Still, the stronger, the better.
After all, Veronica had reconciled with him, and through his efforts, he had rekindled Rebecca’s love for him.
Her presence here was solely to help Lin Tian. Otherwise, she’d still be in the countryside, enjoying a shy, leisurely life.
Her bones, however, were now polished to a radiant gleam.
Lin Tian didn’t bother checking Veronica’s combat stats—summoners weren’t typically relevant in direct combat. Instead, he examined the summoned creature’s attributes:
[Eerie Lord: Lv100]
Race: Heretic
Profession: None
Title: Lord from the Heretical World
Health: 10,000
Strength: 1,000
Defense: 1,000
Skills: Nightmare Bind, Ominous Curse, Malicious Duplication
Equipment: None
Overall Power: 40,000]
Its stats revealed that while its attack and defense weren’t particularly high, its health pool was immense.
Nightmare Bind inflicted continuous damage that could only be dispelled by killing the target.
Ominous Curse reduced all enemy attributes, including their luck value.
Malicious Duplication allowed it to create 100 duplicates at a time!
Combined with its enormous health pool, these abilities made it an extraordinarily troublesome adversary.
Most critically, the heretic couldn’t be stared at for too long without triggering severe mental attacks.
Lin Tian couldn’t help but chuckle. No wonder he would win this battle.
The Eerie Lord was Adam’s natural counter!
Even with ten teleportations, Adam could only kill ten Eerie Lords before running out of options.
“Alice, wait until he’s teleported eight times before making your move. Don’t push yourselves—leave it to Veronica,” Lin Tian instructed from a distance.
As for himself?
He set his sights on Michael, ready to devour those high-tier angels!
Im dying to wait 24 hours each chapter so long cant u release new chapter every 1 hour?
