From Goblin to Goblin God - Chapter 316
Chapter 316: Overpowering the Demon Gods, A True Monster
TL: Sungmin
Upon hearing those words.
Beelzebub’s face turned a deep red with rage. His arm transformed into a demonic fist, and he struck with a thunderous force!
But Azazel countered with his own demonic arm, blocking the attack.
Azazel sneered coldly, “Beelzebub, endure it for the sake of the opportunity we’ve awaited for tens of thousands of years!”
“Before that, let me teach this little beast a lesson! He needs to understand that gods are not to be provoked!”
As Beelzebub spoke, his arm grew darker and thicker, veins bulging.
This was his exclusive Mythic-Class ability: Body Evolution.
The moment he raised his fist, Azazel quickly stepped aside.
The blow was aimed straight at Lin Tian.
A hissing sound suddenly broke the tension.
The Hell Serpent within Samael’s body lunged and bit Beelzebub’s arm, injecting its venom.
In an instant, Beelzebub’s massive arm shriveled like a withered eggplant, the bones dissolving.
This Hell Demon Serpent was a gift granted to Samael by a Demon Fruit.
Its venom was potent enough to kill even gods.
Beelzebub quickly severed his arm, waiting for it to regenerate. However, the fractured bone would take a long time to heal.
Seeing the others siding with Lin Tian, Beelzebub shouted angrily, “Are you all planning to betray the demons? Betray our bond of thousands of years?”
“It’s you who is betraying the demons!” Abaddon roared furiously, scattering black seeds as he spoke.
Caught off guard, Beelzebub was struck. The black seeds adhered to his skin and swiftly merged into his body.
Startled, Beelzebub staggered back a few steps, frantically channeling his demonic energy to expel them. “Abaddon! Even you! You traitorous scum, all of you opportunistic bastards!”
“Don’t move,” Abaddon said coldly, his eyes devoid of emotion. “This is my first time using the Life and Death Malady Seed on you. If you resist further… I’d rather kill you.”
In the face of his own interests, everything else was meaningless to Abaddon.
Beelzebub’s veins bulged as he fumed, his forehead and neck taut with anger. “Today, I will kill that bastard no matter what!”
His body began to twist and swell. The seeds, not fully activated, were expelled.
The entire hall was charged with a ferocious and chaotic battle aura.
Tensions ran high.
At that moment, Lucifer’s thunderous voice boomed, “Stop!”
Dark Holy Word activated!
Beelzebub, on the verge of full-body evolution, instantly reverted to his original form, his momentum collapsing.
His face twisted with resentment as he turned toward Lucifer. “Lucifer! Even you! I gave up everything to follow you, even risked my life to escape Heaven’s relentless pursuit!”
“Now, it’s no longer up to me,” Lucifer replied coldly, standing silently alongside the other five Demon Gods. “Besides, this Lin Tian has already given you a chance.”
Lucifer’s gaze was icy and detached as he moved to stand with the other Demon Gods.
Seeing this, the high demons who had mocked Lin Tian earlier also switched sides.
Now, only Beelzebub and five or six high demons from his family remained on the opposing side.
One of the high demons whispered uneasily, “Father, maybe we should let this go. I feel like we’re in real danger.”
They faced not only dozens of high demons but also six Demon Gods.
And one cunning and ruthless madman, Lin Tian.
They had completely underestimated him.
Even the Demon Gods hadn’t expected to be so easily subdued by someone.
But Lucifer had anticipated this. He had remained silent earlier, watching to see if Lin Tian could handle it. Now, in his eyes, Lin Tian had far exceeded expectations.
Especially his audacity to strike instantly, even killing without hesitation. That alone marked him as a truly terrifying monster.
By siding with Lin Tian, Lucifer not only preserved the Demon Clan’s dignity and status but also forged a potentially valuable alliance.
“Get lost! You useless fools! I, Beelzebub, have never been so humiliated in my life!”
Ignoring his son’s advice, Beelzebub grabbed him by the neck and snarled.
At this moment.
Lin Tian slowly stepped forward, emerging from the ranks of the Demon Gods. His eyes were filled with scorn and pity as he looked at Beelzebub. “Tsk, tsk, tsk. What’s wrong, Your Excellency Demon God? You look like a stray dog right now. Hahaha.”
“Ahhh!” Beelzebub let out a soul-wrenching roar!
Crack!
The battle cry shattered all the glass in the hall. He launched another frenzied assault.
“Kneel!”
Dark Holy Word activated again.
His fist stopped just one centimeter from Lin Tian, forcibly withdrawn. Beelzebub collapsed, his face pressed to the ground like a defeated dog.
Lin Tian raised his foot and ground it against Beelzebub’s head. “Poor Demon God. Blame your own blindness for choosing that troublemaker Scarlett as your vassal.”
“You!” Beelzebub struggled to rise.
Lucifer’s voice rang out again, “Don’t move!”
Feeling the unbearable pressure, Beelzebub stopped.
Finally.
Beelzebub resigned himself to his fate, overwhelmed with regret. “Why is this happening?! Damn Scarlett, damn her! Why did I ever provoke this madman?”
Despite his superior strength, he had been outmaneuvered at every turn. This despair was far worse than being physically defeated in battle.
“You want me to turn him into a human swine? Cut off his limbs and find a way to prevent them from ever growing back,” Lin Tian said suddenly, his voice cold and unfeeling.
At those words, Beelzebub’s family members fell to their knees, pleading, “Your Highness, we have realized our mistakes. Please, let this end here. Our father won’t harm you again!”
Seeing his family in such a pathetic state, Beelzebub clenched his teeth so hard they nearly shattered. Swallowing his pride, he silently endured, thinking to himself, Once the Eden Project is over, I’ll kill you, you little bastard!
“Is that so?” Lin Tian’s voice cut through the hall.
Pfft!
A spear suddenly pierced through Beelzebub’s son’s head.
Without hesitation, Lin Tian unleashed Judgment Execution, leaving only a pile of smoldering bones on the floor.
Beelzebub’s pupils shrank to pinpoints. “What have you done?! You little bastard! You monster!” he roared, his entire body trembling with rage. But the Dark Holy Word bound him in place, preventing him from acting.
This level of fury was something Beelzebub had never experienced before. He could only watch helplessly as his family was slaughtered.
The remaining members of Beelzebub’s family, overcome with grief and anger, launched a desperate attack on Lin Tian.
Despite their combat strength of around twenty thousand, these high demons had little experience in actual battle. Though more powerful than Nanavis in raw ability, their lack of skill made them weak in practice.
Lin Tian easily evaded their clumsy attacks, using Ruinous Howl to stun the others.
One demon was immobilized by Anubis’ Soul Drain, and Lin Tian once again employed Judgment Execution. This time, without the weakening effects of Blood of Ruin, the attack didn’t kill instantly, but left the demon battered and quaking on the ground like a dying dog.
Without hesitation, Lin Tian tore the demon apart and devoured it, restoring his magic power.
Witnessing this horrific act, the remaining high demons’ faces contorted with terror, tears streaming down. “You lunatic! What are you doing?! Stop it!”
They charged at him, screaming.
“Suicide,” Lin Tian commanded.
Buzz!
Dark Holy Word activated. One demon, like a puppet under control, froze in place and began stabbing himself repeatedly with his weapon.
Samael’s serpent slithered with an almost infinite length, coiling around another demon’s neck and sinking its fangs deep.
The last demon, paralyzed with fear at the carnage, turned to flee, but Abaddon scattered black seeds onto its back.
With a mere thought, the seeds burrowed into the demon’s organs and detonated. Its body collapsed into a heap of viscera, its lifeless eyes staring upward as dark red fluids seeped from its mouth.
Beelzebub, witnessing this nightmare, completely broke down. “What are you doing?! My son, my family! You beasts! Lucifer, Samael, Abaddon! I’ll kill all of you!”
“You should worry about yourself first. If I’m not mistaken, you were just thinking about killing me after the Eden Project ends, weren’t you?” Lin Tian said coldly, wiping the blood from his lips as he returned to Beelzebub’s side.
Despair and regret overwhelmed Beelzebub’s mind. The pain of his failure sliced through him like countless knives, tearing him apart piece by piece. His face twisted grotesquely, almost beyond recognition.
The remaining high demons, witnessing the horror, trembled uncontrollably. Though they were demons—powerful high demons—they had grown soft in their lives of decadence and had never encountered such bloody and brutal reality.
Some were so terrified they nearly soiled themselves.
“Gulp…”
One high demon swallowed hard, drenched in cold sweat. “Who… who’s the real demon here?”
“So this is what true slaughter looks like. I swear, I’ll grow stronger. This world is too terrifying!”
“How is this possible? Lord Demon God… brought to his knees like a dying dog…”
“What a horrifying monster. I laughed at him earlier. Will he… will he kill me too?”
Lin Tian’s sharp ears caught the whisper. His blood-red eyes turned toward the speaker, locking onto him like the gaze of death.
The demon, realizing he had been noticed, collapsed to the floor in terror. “No, no! Please don’t kill me! I beg you!”
Lin Tian smirked slightly. “Don’t worry. I’m a forgiving person. I’ll let it slide.”
“Thank you! Thank you!” The high demon kowtowed furiously. Being a distant descendant of a Demon God with no powerful backing, he feared he would meet the same fate as Beelzebub’s family.
Samael stepped forward to plead for Beelzebub. “Your Highness, he’s already been pushed to this point. Perhaps it’s enough…”
“No chance,” Lin Tian cut him off decisively. “I gave him his chance.”
This guy had to die. If left alive, he’d pose a massive threat in the future. Even these demons and Demon Gods would have to be eliminated eventually.
There was room for only one ruler in this domain—Lin Tian.
Lucifer finally spoke, his voice slow and measured. “No one should plead further. Beelzebub, this is your fate. I deeply regret that it has come to this.”
Originally, they had planned to wait until after the Eden Project for retribution.
Beelzebub, despite his earlier rage, couldn’t suppress his desperation. He foolishly tried to kill Lin Tian, the wild beast in front of him.
The result? The beast metaphorically sank its teeth into his neck.
“Why?! Why is this happening?!” Beelzebub cried out, his voice breaking as tears streamed down his face.
A Demon God, reduced to such humiliation, wept openly. If only he had exercised restraint, none of this would have happened. If Scarlett, that wretched fool, hadn’t acted so recklessly, this disaster could have been avoided.
Who could have foreseen such an unbelievable chain reaction?
Lin Tian spoke coldly, issuing his command, “Turn him into a human swine first, then kill him. Oh, and leave the corpse for me.”
“This won’t do,” Lucifer interjected firmly, his expression solemn. “We need to give him a proper burial.”
Seeing Lucifer’s stance, Lin Tian relented. “Fine.”
Lin Tian wasn’t stupid; he knew better than to clash directly with Lucifer, who had already shown him enough respect.
The other Demon Gods exchanged conflicted glances. Though killing Beelzebub was the necessary course, some hesitated, pondering alternative solutions—pleas for mercy or compensation.
But from Lin Tian’s earlier actions, it was clear that no amount of bargaining would spare Beelzebub.
Their only option was to force Beelzebub’s cooperation and then compel him to open the Gate of Eden. However, none dared take that gamble. Lin Tian was far too decisive and merciless for such risks.
Beelzebub’s death, in exchange for a guarantee of opening the Gate of Eden, seemed like a worthwhile trade. Losing one combatant was a small price compared to losing the opportunity entirely.
With a resigned air, the Demon God Mastema stepped forward, drawing a massive long-handled battle axe. A wave of killing intent radiated from him, shaking even the souls of those present.
“My axe can sever souls. If I cut off his limbs, they won’t regenerate. Let me do it,” Mastema said gravely.
It was almost considerate.
“Wait! Mastema!” Beelzebub screamed desperately. “I saved your life during the war against Heaven! Don’t do this!”
“I’m sorry, Beelzebub,” Mastema replied, his voice heavy. “But I don’t want to remain trapped in this dark, disgusting Hell forever.”
Slash!
Blood splattered everywhere.
Beelzebub let out an agonized howl. “You beast! I curse you! May you never find peace!”
Unfortunately for Beelzebub, he was a physical warrior, and his curses had no real effect. He could only watch as his limbs were severed, unable to resist due to the Dark Holy Word binding him.
Abaddon, observing the scene, scattered black seeds over Beelzebub to dull his pain.
Now reduced to a limbless husk writhing like a maggot, Beelzebub was a pitiful sight. Lin Tian’s face, however, was frighteningly calm—there was no trace of triumph or madness, only cold indifference.
This unnerved everyone even more.
Lin Tian broke the silence. “In a way, you’ve died a relatively merciful death. Unlike Ladrick, who suffers centuries of torment each time he’s killed.”
In the Dream Realm, time flowed differently.
By now, Beelzebub, too weak from blood loss and unable to use his powers to recover, was barely clinging to life. He lacked even the strength to speak. Perhaps, had he been able, he would have stubbornly cursed Lin Tian until his final breath. This silence, however, allowed him to die slightly more peacefully.
“End it,” Lin Tian commanded at last.
Abaddon responded by scattering more black seeds and chanting a spell. With a burst of magic, Beelzebub fell silent, closing his eyes for the final time.
As the Demon Gods began to relax, Lin Tian’s voice cut through the air once more. “I said, completely end him.”
The atmosphere froze.
Even Lucifer appeared shocked. “How could you possibly know?”
This was Beelzebub’s second death. Having developed an immunity to the seeds’ effects, he was attempting to fake his demise, hoping to deceive Lin Tian and survive.
For the Demon Gods, keeping Beelzebub alive, even weakened, was preferable to losing him entirely. After all, a Demon God was far more valuable than a high demon. If it had been a high demon, their death wouldn’t have mattered.
Lin Tian smiled faintly and pointed at Mastema. “Use your axe to sever his head.”
