From Goblin to Goblin God - Chapter 301
Chapter 301: Do I Need a Reason to Beat You?
TL: Sungmin
Lin Tian had yet to reply.
Ladrick had already stood back up. His damaged skin was visibly healing at an alarming rate.
Whoosh!
Without hesitation, Lin Tian landed another heavy blow—one that struck directly into his very soul.
“Ahhhh!”
Bathed in the purifying holy light Ladrick continued to wail in agony.
It was excruciating.
And the strikes kept coming, one after another. The skill didn’t consume much energy, so Lin Tian could sustain it effortlessly.
Unfortunately for Ladrick, this was hell itself—his domain.
In hell, demons were nearly immortal, their existence unending.
Even if only a skeleton remained, the flesh would regrow madly.
The scene was grotesque.
Alicenia and the One-Eyed Owl were dumbfounded. “How is this possible? Is he even a living being anymore? This has gone beyond any concept of life!”
Even a super-tier or god-tier recovery potion couldn’t regrow flesh from bare bone. This was practically infinite resurrection.
Lin Tian felt troubled as well. Did this mean he’d have to inject Blood of Ruin into Ladrick to weaken him?
At this moment, Nanavis, who hadn’t died yet, shouted from nearby, “Goblin! If you want to kill him, you must first eliminate this domain! The best method is to unleash an overwhelming amount of holy power!”
“Demon domain?!” Lin Tian finally understood.
Nearby, Ladrick snarled through gritted teeth. “You bitch! If it weren’t for the demon domain, you’d already be dead! Do you want to die that badly? Let me help you!”
With that, he lunged forward, intent on tearing Nanavis apart.
“Get lost!” The One-Eyed Owl intervened, forcing Ladrick back momentarily.
These demon corpses had to be preserved; they were meant to be consumed by Gobu Kuang and the others to acquire Mythic-Class skills.
Lin Tian commanded, “Alicenia, release Sylph! Use the Wind Domain to overlay this place, then unleash holy power!”
“No problem!”
Upon hearing this, Alicenia immediately concentrated.
Sylph appeared, her presence heralded by rippling gales.
Raising her longsword high, Alicenia channeled the holy energy within her, releasing it fervently.
As the gale spread, it filled the demon domain without spilling out, demonstrating perfect control.
The holy power gradually began to overlap and purify the demon domain.
Since there wasn’t a direct skill to dispel an opponent’s domain, this method was the most effective.
Nanavis smirked triumphantly. “Hmph, watching you die makes my own death worth it, doesn’t it?”
“You lunatic! But I won’t let her succeed!” Ladrick growled viciously and prepared to attack Alicenia.
But a sudden gust of wind from Sylph forced him back!
The power of the Wind Spirit wasn’t to be underestimated. Even with all his might, Ladrick’s speed was greatly reduced.
Meanwhile, Lin Tian picked up pieces of magical beast flesh from the ground and devoured them, replenishing his strength rapidly.
With a smirk, he taunted, “Come on. Let’s see who recovers faster.”
Whoosh!
Judgment Execution—used again!
Lin Tian could execute the skill four or five times consecutively without issue.
Ladrick was incredulous. “What?! Goblins can do this?! How did I never realize before that these tiny goblins have such incredible innate racial abilities?”
If a goblin could consume flesh to instantly recover, they would have an almost unassailable advantage on the battlefield!
Under the relentless onslaught of holy light, Ladrick was forced to stay in place, unable to act.
Soon, a Holy Light Domain crafted by the Wind Spirit was fully established.
The oppressive atmosphere of the demon domain dissolved rapidly.
Stripped of the domain’s support, Ladrick reverted from his demon form to his original state.
Demons were at their strongest only in hell, where they could maintain their true demon forms indefinitely. Otherwise, gods would have long eradicated them.
Without the domain’s power, Ladrick’s combat strength diminished significantly, reverting him to his ordinary state.
Bang!
The One-Eyed Owl surged forward and punched Ladrick, sending stars spinning through his vision and shattering his jaw instantly.
He collapsed to the ground, stammering incoherently. “N-no… impossible. How could I lose to a goblin? I refuse to accept this!”
As he spoke, he scrambled backward, trying to escape.
Lin Tian approached coldly, pinning Ladrick underfoot and tearing off his wings with sheer force.
“Ahhh!”
Ladrick’s screams were piercing, like a pig being slaughtered.
His supposedly flawless plan had failed—all because Nanavis revealed how to dismantle the domain before her death.
“You bitch! All of you are scum! Not a single one of you is worth anything!”
His curses weren’t just aimed at Nanavis but also at Scarlett.
If it hadn’t been for Scarlett stirring up this whole mess, they would still be living happily in the Uninhabited Zone.
Enjoying a life of utmost luxury, the seven lords had always believed that even if Lin Tian were to attack, they would never fail as long as they united.
Nanavis lay on the ground at this moment, her consciousness fading. “Yes… it’s all that wretched woman’s fault. But now… can I finally drop this pretense?” she murmured before slowly closing her eyes.
This body of hers, neither truly human nor fully demon, had been an unbearable burden. Though her demeanor was arrogant, it had been out of necessity.
Lin Tian didn’t subject her to any further torment. Dead was dead, and in her final moments, she had even managed to help him a little.
But as for Ladrick—he wouldn’t escape so easily.
“Don’t worry,” Lin Tian said coldly. “For you, failure is only the beginning.”
With that, he took out the Horned Python Serpent. Binding Ladrick tightly, he ensured he couldn’t move or use any of his abilities. Once he brought him back, Lin Tian planned to torment him slowly in the Dream Realm. Only there could he unleash his full creativity.
After all, Ladrick’s abilities weren’t particularly impressive, and there was no need to devour him for power.
For now, only Sylph and Gluttony seemed valuable for enhancing Gobu Kuang and the others’ strength.
As for Nanavis’ Ultimate Domination, Lin Tian planned to consume it himself. No matter how close someone was to him, certain things couldn’t be entrusted to others.
Although Ultimate Domination sounded formidable, it was only effective against opponents whose strength was lower than the user’s. For Lin Tian, who thrived on surpassing his limits in battle, it might not see much use.
Then there was Gallows, whose abilities had been excellent. Unfortunately, the system had eliminated him too quickly, leaving no time to devour his corpse.
Scarlett, on the other hand, had outlived her usefulness. Lin Tian considered offering her to Gobu Yue as a way to amuse himself.
As for Ladrick, he was essentially a blank slate of abilities—a so-called Great Demon King who had gotten by solely on cunning and intellect. Devouring his corpse would yield no particularly powerful skills.
This left Sylph and Gluttony as the only true prizes. However, he still needed to locate Gluttony’s corpse before some wild magical beast turned it into a roadside snack.
“Now, tell me—where is Gluttony’s corpse?” Lin Tian demanded as he rained blows down on Ladrick.
His fists left Ladrick battered and bloody. Without the demon domain, Ladrick’s injuries healed much more slowly, making the pain unbearable.
Ladrick, now covered in blood, whimpered, “Your Majesty… can’t you let me finish talking before hitting me? I wasn’t planning on keeping it a secret…”
He wasn’t foolish. At this point, staying silent would only earn him more unnecessary suffering.
But Lin Tian, unfazed, sneered. “I just don’t like the sight of you. Do I need a reason to beat you?”
