From Goblin to Goblin God - Chapter 298
Chapter 298: Kidnapping Yourself?
TL: Sungmin
“Hahaha! This guy is truly arrogant! I hate these kinds of people who don’t go all out!” the One-Eyed Owl sneered in satisfaction.
To her, every battle deserved the respect of full effort. Anything less insulted the opponent.
In the distance, a wave of demonic energy dispersed the ash. Nanavis was truly enraged. “Damn human, I’ll make sure you die a horrible death!”
“Swish!”
An invisible demonic hand lashed out!
Before the One-Eyed Owl could react, she was sent flying dozens of meters. Only Sylph’s quick shield kept her from crashing to the ground.
Alice didn’t waste a moment, launching another fierce assault. “World-Class Sword Skill · Final Sword Song!”
“Buzz!”
Five magic circles unfolded in midair!
Though she could have fled, Nanavis had never once retreated or dodged. Instead, she summoned two massive hands to block the attack with all her might.
A giant sword descended, its oppressive power crushing the forest beneath Nanavis in a devastating blow.
“Amazing, she can even take a world-class magic attack head-on?” Lin Tian murmured in surprise. This opponent was truly formidable, with the might of a high demon, not to be underestimated. For humans, she would rank among the elite demigods.
Thankfully, she never dodged.
“Hmph, isn’t this that sword skill used by a bunch of knights from the wilderness thousands of years ago? So weak!”
Nanavis sneered, catching the massive sword in her hand and crushing it to fragments.
At that moment, the One-Eyed Owl struck again, landing a powerful blow that sent Nanavis sprawling to the ground.
“Don’t forget, there’s two of us here!” she spat, disdainfully.
“Big Sis, you seem different, huh?” Lin Tian quipped from a distance, his tone playful.
The One-Eyed Owl snorted. “Who do you think I learned this from? Besides, I’m not treating her as an opponent. She’s an enemy I intend to kill! That’s all I care about!” She charged again.
This time, prepared, she sensed the invisible hand’s approach and countered with her fists. The clash was intense!
Alice joined in, and soon the tide of battle began to turn. Nanavis was forced to retreat, step by step.
“Why? Why do you pathetic humans always have to interfere with me? WHY?!”
Nanavis screamed in fury, unleashing a surge of demonic energy.
“Demonic Transformation!”
In an instant, her body began to swell, growing into a four- or five-meter-tall monstrous demon with massive, refined muscles. Her physique remained distinctly female, with sleek, precise muscle lines.
Her enormous wings unfurled, her fangs and claws sharper than ever. Her face, once striking, now twisted into a menacing snarl.
Her long tail whipped like a razor-edged lash, capable of inflicting serious injury with a single strike.
She now embodied the pure essence of a demon, shifting from a caster form to a demonic warrior.
Lin Tian watched her transformation through his system, thoughtful. “This is somewhat similar to Ladrick’s First-Tier Descent of Darkness, though it lacks the ability to form a domain…”
With that in mind, Ladrick’s full demon form would likely be stronger than this.
But of course, it wouldn’t compare to Celeste, who had mastered Descent of Darkness perfectly.
If she used it, her combat power could soar to thirty thousand! A terrifyingly high stat.
“If I hadn’t wasted my Ultimate Domination on that idiot, you two would already be dead!”
Nanavis’s voice now sounded like a savage beast, low and menacing. She extended her claws, lunging at the One-Eyed Owl.
Sensing her relative weakness, Nanavis planned to eliminate her first.
Under the fierce and relentless assault, the One-Eyed Owl began to struggle. Although her Boiling Blood Armor was designed for agility, it offered little full-body protection.
Her flesh had already been torn in several places by Nanavis’s claws.
Still, thanks to the armor, the pain was dulled, tolerable enough.
“Tenfold Attack Speed!”
Alice dashed in to support her, striking with a whirlwind of blows that left Nanavis bloodied all over.
However, the tenfold attack speed sacrificed power, preventing her from delivering a killing blow.
In the blink of an eye, Nanavis’s wounds regenerated.
Despite their combined efforts, the two barely managed to hold their ground.
However, in terms of endurance, they couldn’t hope to match Nanavis’s demonic form.
Demons and gods were born as powerful beings, their innate strength undeniable.
If they continued like this, the two would soon tire.
Watching from the side, Lin Tian, who had observed her fighting style, finally spoke up. “You two take a break—I’ll take her on for a while.”
“You sure about that, kid?” the One-Eyed Owl panted, sweat on her brow. “This thing’s like a rabid dog now; she’s tough as hell!”
Alice wanted to try using a domain-type skill, but there wasn’t an opening to do so.
If she moved away to cast it, the One-Eyed Owl might suffer serious injuries.
It wouldn’t be worth the risk.
After all, Alice’s combat strength was much weaker.
Hearing this, Lin Tian couldn’t help but scoff. “Relax, a noble high demon like her wouldn’t lower herself to strike a lowly goblin like me, right? Isn’t that right, Lady Nana?”
His mocking tone drifted into Nanavis’s ears, and for a moment, her violent expression faltered. She could only watch as Alice and the One-Eyed Owl retreated to safety.
Now, it was just the two of them facing each other.
“Filthy goblin! Don’t think I won’t kill you. I’m just sparing myself from dirtying my hands,” Nanavis threatened.
Lin Tian feigned surprise. “Really? The mighty high demon, threatening a goblin? Do humans go to war with ants, threatening them all seriously? That’s just too funny!”
“Are you provoking me?”
Nanavis’s eyes darkened, her sharp claws trembling, emitting a piercing, icy sound.
“Of course I’m provoking you. If you kill me, won’t that just prove how low-class you are? Unworthy of being a high demon?”
Lin Tian’s words dripped with scorn.
Nanavis’s arrogance stemmed from her lineage—a half-breed of demon and human. She couldn’t fully integrate into the circle of high demons, nor into the human world. She deluded herself, considering herself nobler than both humans and demons, and held herself to extreme standards.
To lower herself was simply unthinkable.
After all, these Lords of Sin were all, in some way, twisted.
Noticing this, Lin Tian continued, “If Celeste heard you killed a goblin, the whole demon realm would be laughing at you, wouldn’t they?”
An arrogant demon had to be dealt with in kind.
“Hey, stop running your mouth! What if she throws out a big spell and takes you out instantly?” the One-Eyed Owl called out, exasperated.
Lin Tian gestured for her and Alice to stay calm. “I’m just a lowly goblin. Even if I attack her, she won’t bother to strike back. I mean, who cares about an ant, right?”
“You!”
Nanavis, bound by her own pride, found herself unable to refute.
Lin Tian’s eyes gleamed with cold determination.
A blood spear materialized in his hand, and in an instant, he lunged forward, closing the distance.
“Shk!”
With one fierce thrust, he created an opening!
A flood of Blood of Ruin poured into the wound, a force so dark it could corrode even demons.
It was a power darker than darkness itself.
It could decay anything tainted.
Even godly blood.
It was an almost broken ability, with one major drawback—the condition required it be injected directly into the target’s body.
Lin Tian’s taunts had been a ruse to lower her guard. Otherwise, it would have been nearly impossible to close in on her, let alone attack, as she could wield two massive, invisible hands.
In the end, her own desires had betrayed her.
