From Goblin to Goblin God - Chapter 293
Chapter 293: Suppressed Wrath
TL: Sungmin
“You, an emperor who rules such a vast empire, dare to do something so despicable. Aren’t you ashamed? If you have any guts, release them and fight me one-on-one!”
Seething with fury and frustration, Hir ground her teeth as she spoke.
One side held her dead family, and the other, her family on the brink of death.
Suppressing her fury nearly drove her mad.
She intended to reason with Lin Tian.
Unfortunately.
Lin Tian had no interest in reason. Instead, he sneered, “Are you confused? Trying to use human morals to corner me? Besides, you’re a demon—who bothers with morals when dealing with demons?”
If the other party had been human, he admitted his actions would indeed be vile.
But, regrettably, his opponent was a demon.
“Why must you do this? We have no enmity between us. Why can’t you just let me go?” Hir’s voice trembled with deep hatred.
She regretted ever provoking this goblin; now, things had come to this.
There was no turning back.
Lin Tian narrowed his eyes, his gaze cold and chilling. “Let you go? That’s how you beg for mercy?”
Upon hearing this,
the fury radiating from Hir’s body turned a stark white.
She corrected her attitude, knelt, and pleaded, “I’m sorry, Lord Goblin. I… I shouldn’t have harbored ill intentions toward you back then. Please forgive me…”
“Hmph. Too bad—I have no intention of forgiving you.”
Lin Tian’s cold voice cut through the air as he signaled his two companions to kill her.
However, the One-Eyed Owl seemed unimpressed. “A foe like this? I wouldn’t lower myself to kill them. Too dull.”
In a flash, Alice teleported to Hir and struck her down with a single, merciless blow. Without a word, she returned to Lin Tian’s side.
The blood was instantly absorbed by her dark blade, and she slowly sheathed it.
As for the two small demons in his grip, Lin Tian released them. “Go on. You’re free.”
Collapsed on the ground and barely alive, Hir rasped, “Run… escape…”
“I swear I’ll have my revenge! I’ll kill you, damn goblin!”
“Sister Hir, I’ll return with a high demon to avenge you! Hic!”
The two little demons flew off into the forest, eyes brimming with hatred for Lin Tian.
From afar in the sky, Ladrick watched, chuckling. “Such an evil and cunning goblin. If he were a direct opponent, I might not be confident. But now, I’ll be the ultimate victor…”
Around the Palace of Wrath, the woods teemed with scarlet eyes like a sea of stars—all goblin soldiers lying in wait.
“Aaahhh!”
“So many goblins! Run!”
“Don’t eat me! Please don’t eat me!”
“Riiiip!”
In the forest, the sound of flesh tearing echoed amid the demons’ wails.
“You despicable beast, what are you trying to do?”
On the ground, Hir, in her death throes, cried out in agony.
She couldn’t believe that the ruthless methods demons used against their enemies were now being used on her.
It was even more brutal!
Extreme torment to both mind and body.
She’d thought Lin Tian had truly spared the two small demons, only to realize they died soon after escaping.
Lin Tian sneered coldly, “What I’m doing is taking revenge tenfold. This is only the beginning, but unfortunately, you won’t be around to see the rest.”
Hearing this,
Hir could say no more, dying in a haze of regret and rage.
“Take her body back to the Zerg Empire and store it for now.”
At his command, a goblin emerged from the dark forest.
He hoisted the body and began to run back.
If Hir’s Eternal Wrath could be inherited by Gobu Kuang and the others, their power would increase significantly.
While all this seemed like vengeance, in truth, it was preparation for the battle against the angels.
He had to maximize his power and present overwhelming might when the angels arrived in half a year.
Once that was settled, he’d crush the Demigod Empire as well.
The path to godhood was just one step away.
However, he still knew too little about the gods of this world, and couldn’t afford to be careless.
He then commanded, “Wait here for my signal, then advance with the army.”
Taking advantage of the moment when the high demon Nanavis was unprepared.
Lin Tian headed straight for the Castle of Pride.
His goal was to test whether her instant-kill ability could only be used twice.
That would make it much safer.
Guided by Ladrick, the two soon reached the gates of the Castle of Pride.
“At this hour, Lady Nana is likely dining. It’d be better to wait before entering,” Ladrick warned cautiously.
Interrupting that creature now would be disastrous.
Lin Tian urged him instead, “Just push open the door and figure out what to say yourself.”
He could observe attributes from afar as long as the target was within sight.
Reluctantly, Ladrick could only brace himself, though he muttered complaints, “If that’s how it is, then what’s the point of a familiar?”
Lin Tian didn’t respond.
A familiar was definitely useful—a skill as good as that was worth learning.
At the castle entrance, a demon guard quickly stopped Ladrick, saying, “Your Highness, Lady Nanavis is dining. Surely, you know better than to go in now.”
“No, it’s fine—I came to report something urgent.”
With a grit of his teeth, Ladrick pushed open the door.
Inside the dim hall, yellow candlelight flickered on the table, casting an eerie and sinister glow.
The dishes laid out were all soaked in blood—steaming flesh, hearts, and the like.
Nanavis, poised and elegant, held her knife and fork delicately, savoring her meal.
When she saw Ladrick enter, her expression seemed to merge with the shadows, a look of deep malice.
In a low voice, she drawled, “So, tell me, how do you wish to die?”
“Milady, the Holy Alliance just sent word. They plan to attack in three days. We still have time to retreat to Hell.”
In a desperate bid to survive, Ladrick lied.
Unfortunately.
Nanavis was enraged regardless, capturing him with a ruthless grip!
The knife on the table floated toward Ladrick and sliced off a piece of his flesh.
“Ahhh! Please, milady, have mercy! I only came to report this urgent situation!”
Ladrick pleaded in agony, his gaze full of reverence.
But inside, he seethed with murderous intent!
Nanavis, after cutting several more pieces of flesh and forcing them into Ladrick’s mouth, finally spoke, “The mere Holy Alliance scares you this much? Didn’t I tell you? No one disturbs me while I eat.”
Ladrick could no longer speak from the pain, his blood pooling on the ground.
Then she flung him out the door like a dead dog.
From the distant forest, Lin Tian observed the entire scene intensely. “Ultimate Domination… two uses. It appears to be true…”
Satisfied with his confirmation, he slipped back into the forest.
He was ready to signal the others that the army could now sweep through this place.
