Chapter 285: Showing You Something Even Better

Goblin King’s City.
Lin Tian had already investigated the entire city but hadn’t found anything unusual.
“Hmm, strange. Could the plot have changed just because we didn’t go to the Uninhabited Zone?”
Standing in the street, Lin Tian muttered to himself, puzzled.
It seemed that the simulation storyline would indeed change based on his choices.
The main functions of the simulation were to predict the direction of the storyline, foresee the outcomes of battles, and gather unknown information.
Just then, as he happened to pass by the headquarters of the Succubi, Lin Tian’s eyes lit up. “Ah! I nearly forgot, Celeste is a high demon. She should be able to sense if there are other demons in the city. I’ll go ask her—and, while I’m at it… enjoy myself a bit.”
Entering the Succubi Hall.
This time, due to his previous request, there was no grand reception to greet him.
Instead, only a group of officer-level succubi came to welcome him.
“Your Goblin Majesty, is there anything you need? Today, allow me to serve you. Mature woman, young girl, lolita? Or perhaps… a bit of S and M?” Succubus Lily fluttered her alluring eyes as she spoke.
But Lin Tian simply waved his hand. “I’m mainly here to see Lady Celeste. Take me to her first. Oh, and… I prefer lolita.”
Lily was momentarily stunned before snapping out of it. “No problem!”
Onward to the second floor.
Celeste’s office door was closed tightly.
Standing outside, Lily knocked lightly. “Lady Celeste, His Goblin Majesty has come~”
Because of a past incident, Celeste had instructed everyone to knock first if anyone came to see her.
“Alright, hold on a second!”
From inside came Celeste’s slightly flustered voice.
After a while, she called out, “Come in.”
Lin Tian pushed open the door and saw Celeste sitting at her desk, her face slightly flushed. She cleared her throat, saying, “Ahem, darling~ I’m sorry I couldn’t greet you just now. I was a bit busy.”
“No worries, I treat this place like home, so no need for all the formality,” Lin Tian replied.
Every inch of land within the city—and even the Uninhabited Zone—was his. He hardly cared about such formalities.
Only outsiders might think it rude not to be greeted.
Sniffing the air, Lin Tian suddenly wrinkled his nose. “Hmm… Lady Celeste, have you been eating seafood?”
Lin Tian took a deep sniff of the air, detecting a slightly fishy scent.
In the Uninhabited Zone, finding a bite of seafood was nearly impossible.
All rivers flowed into the Abyss of Nothingness, not the ocean. To eat seafood, you’d have to go to the Demigod Empire’s territory.
So, Lin Tian asked this simply as a cover.
But Celeste looked genuinely bewildered. “No, I haven’t had any seafood at all.”
“Oh~ I see. Well, if you ever need some, you can come to me. I’m a responsible man,” Lin Tian said, testing the waters.
Unfortunately, she was incredibly strong, and even if she was interested, he didn’t have the strength to handle her.
Perhaps that was the nature of men: the stronger the target, the more attractive, and what was unattainable was often most desired.
And besides, it wouldn’t be reasonable to pursue her purely out of lust.
Celeste didn’t understand his meaning at all; after all, she wasn’t really a succubus but a high demon raised on battle and slaughter.
She knew nothing of adult banter.
In fact, male high demons of her status didn’t dare make advances on her, leaving her completely unaware of such things.
Her first exposure to the world depicted in the succubi’s training materials had truly opened her eyes.
Seeing her like this, Lin Tian couldn’t help but feel perplexed. Was she even a succubus?
He had hinted at it quite suggestively, yet she hadn’t reacted at all.
Since she didn’t seem to be responding, Lin Tian got to the main point. “Alright, my main reason for coming was to ask if there were any other demons in the city—aside from those few from the Uninhabited Zone, like Scarlett and Ladrick.”
At his words, Celeste paused slightly. “Your Majesty, you know about them? Just last night, they planted over a thousand tons of high explosives in the city, intending to destroy it. But I stopped them, as I still need this place to live and work.”
Suddenly.
Lin Tian realized that in the simulation, the one who’d thwarted the sneak attack was her.
He had almost forgotten this high demon wasn’t aligned with the Uninhabited Zone.
“I see. I’m not sure how to thank you. Since you seem to enjoy that sort of thing, I could give you some top-notch, high-quality versions to look at,” Lin Tian said seriously.
Celeste, suddenly a bit flustered, replied nervously, “Enjoy? Enjoy what sort of thing?”
As she spoke, her hand reached behind her chair, attempting to hide something.
Crash.
The succubus manual fell out again.
Lin Tian wasn’t surprised in the least. “So… are you saying you don’t want it? Then I really don’t have much else to thank you with.”
Celeste bit her red lips, unable to resist. “I want it…”
“Well, there you go. You’re a succubus, after all—why act so much like a shy maiden? Don’t tell me you’re a fake succubus?” Lin Tian teased.
Even Rebecca, also previously a maiden, hadn’t been this bashful. She at least understood the basics.
Celeste quickly put on an air of understanding, afraid her inexperience might show. “Of course I understand! Don’t underestimate me—I’m just not used to behaving like that in front of other species.”
Though revealing her lack of experience wouldn’t be a big problem, it was still better to keep it under wraps for the sake of her high demon pride. If word got out, it could reflect poorly on the Lucifer family.
“Alright then,” Lin Tian said, changing his tone to a more serious one. “But does that mean you’ve already dealt with the two of them?”
Celeste paused to gather herself, then responded, “I only sent them back to the Uninhabited Zone… Wait a moment.”
Suddenly, her eyes flashed a menacing crimson as she looked toward the window.
The atmosphere in the office turned frigid and tense. “They’re back…”
After being taught a lesson, they’d dared to return. It was a definite lack of respect.
“I see,” Lin Tian said. “Then, Lady Celeste, let me handle it this time. If I kill them… you won’t hold a grudge against me, will you?”
After all, they were demons. It was hard to be sure how she might react.
But Celeste waved her hand dismissively. “Their lives mean nothing to me. Demons frequently have internal conflicts.”
She was oblivious to matters of romance, not one to spare anyone out of mercy. The number of monsters she’d slain was countless, and killing her own kind didn’t even make her blink. Last time, she had only spared them out of respect for the Demon God behind them.
“Then I have no worries. I’ll take my leave for now,” Lin Tian said, preparing to head out, planning to lie in wait.
But just as he turned to go, Celeste’s voice sounded behind him, “Ah, Your Majesty, don’t forget what you promised me…”
“Don’t worry,” Lin Tian assured her with a grin. “I’m only bringing you the highest-quality collection. I just hope your body can handle it.”
