From Goblin to Goblin God - Chapter 282
Chapter 282: A New Fallen God!
TL: Sungmin
“For me, it felt almost like a divine summons,” Sara said with a shy, girlish hesitation. “Of course, I was thrilled…”
“Ahem, alright then,” Lin Tian interrupted, uncomfortable with her praise. “Just get to the point—have you made any improvements?”
As he listened, Lin Tian examined her stats through the system.
Sara immediately replied respectfully, “After I returned, I remembered your teachings and took time to learn traditional Trojan abilities. When my father passed, he entrusted me with a royal codex only accessible to successive kings. Although it mostly contained techniques for warriors, it also included ancient knowledge about various Trojan creatures, things I’d never heard of before.”
Lin Tian nodded as she spoke. He wanted her to explain things herself, as summoner attributes often had little reference value; even skill descriptions were vague, only indicating a summoning ability without specifying what could be summoned.
“So, are you able to summon stronger and newer Trojan creatures now?” Lin Tian asked calmly.
After all, he felt little personal attachment to her; she was merely a tool to be used and a way to vent his frustrations. What was more, Sara only valued him for his achievements, not out of any genuine emotion, so she was unfit to be a trusted subordinate.
Respectfully, Sara continued, “Yes, I can. However, the names of the new Trojan creatures appear as ancient runes that I don’t recognize. I can’t summon them to the Trojan Arena for subjugation yet…”
Like Veronica, Sara was a summoner, though one specialized in spirit binding. Both required summoning creatures into their respective realms to tame them. For Sara, she had to bring entities to the Trojan Arena and defeat them before summoning them in the real world. Veronica also needed to subdue her summoned entities within the Dark Domain, although she could forcefully summon them into reality for a limited time.
“Fortunately, I previously managed to capture a Trojan Lich. He’s been helping me translate the runes, and after considerable effort, I’ve successfully tamed three new Trojan creatures,” Sara said with a look of satisfaction, almost like a child eager for praise.
Lin Tian noticed this and said, “Well done! Can you show me what kinds of creatures they are?”
He wanted to gauge her current strength directly by inspecting her summons.
“Of course!” Sara nodded enthusiastically and began chanting in the ancient Trojan language.
[Calamity Dragon: Lv100]
A draconic creature covered in flames suddenly appeared in the grand hall. Its hide was a grotesque blackish-brown, covered with countless eyes. Compared to a true Western dragon, it looked more like a grotesque hybrid of a toad and a lizard.
In an instant, a suffocating aura of darkness enveloped the hall, making it hard to breathe.
“With a combat power of fifteen thousand… and it’s at Demon King level? Not bad,” Lin Tian muttered as he inspected it.
This dragon, while not highly effective in direct combat, could plunge enemies into a state of ‘chaos,’ disrupting their abilities and forcing even their magic to backfire upon themselves.
Next, Sara summoned another Trojan creature.
[Desert’s Glauss: Lv100]
A massive, brown beetle with a hard outer shell emerged, standing at a da.;/’ition that I offer daily sacrifices to him.”
Hearing this, Lin Tian cursed inwardly, wondering if this arrangement might go south at any moment. Immediately, he heightened his vigilance.
A beam of black light descended from the magical array in the sky, landing squarely on the plaza.
From the light, a figure shrouded in a deathly aura emerged—whether ‘man’ or ‘armor’ was hard to say. Its frame bore heavy, unique armor with an ancient and foreboding design.
The armor was nothing like modern full armor; rather, it featured iron plates in certain spots, with the rest made of wood and other materials. If anything, it resembled the samurai armor of a certain island nation. Its practical value might be limited, but Lin Tian had to admit the aesthetic was striking.
Between the gaps in the armor, a thick, black miasma flowed. Beneath the ‘Raksha Demon’ mask, crimson lights gleamed ominously, devoid of any eyes.
“Real… air…”
Suddenly, a chilling, eerie voice echoed from the armor, as if multiple voices spoke in unison.
Lin Tian quickly examined this creature’s stats.
[Three-Life Demon Armor: Lv100

“Gulp…”
Seeing such astonishing attributes, Lin Tian swallowed hard, glancing over at Sara. “Are you absolutely certain you can control him?”
“I… can’t, really…” Sara replied helplessly. “But we’re in a cooperative arrangement.”
Lin Tian immediately commanded, “Alright, I’ve seen enough. You’d better send him back now.”
Sara nodded, initiating the reversal sequence on the summoning array to withdraw the creature. Yet, despite the powerful pull of the array, the Three-Life Demon Armor remained motionless, as if it could stand firm even in a torrent.
“Lady Sara, we do not intend to leave yet,” the Three-Life Demon Armor spoke coldly. Its tone was less a question and more of an order.
Sara hastily gestured in dismissal. “Oh, it’s nothing—just summoned you for His Majesty to have a look…”
The Demon Armor’s aura grew agitated. “This action displeases us greatly. Next time, if it’s not for killing, we’ll kill you instead…” With that, it vanished.
“Damn, are summoners this overpowered? This is some game-breaking stuff!” Lin Tian muttered to himself, still a little sweaty from the encounter. A combat power of twenty-six thousand—what was that even on par with? He had never come across anything like it before.
He had assumed Sara’s abilities were only marginally improved, but to think she could summon something this monstrous! If he’d known, Lin Tian mused, he might have considered becoming a summoner himself. But then again, uncontrollable creatures like this were extremely dangerous.
He sternly reminded her, “Sara, don’t summon that thing without my permission. Got it?”
“As you command, Your Majesty…” Sara replied, kneeling.
“By the way, did your research materials include any specific information on that thing?” Lin Tian asked.
The ancient Trojan era spanned thousands, if not tens of thousands, of years ago. These creatures didn’t emerge from the Trojan Empire’s recorded history—they existed long before the empire was even founded.
Sara nodded, explaining, “There’s very little information, but it says it was formed from the souls of three fallen gods. Beyond that, there’s nothing.”
“Fallen gods?”
Lin Tian frowned. Gobu Yue’s titles also included “Fallen God.” Perhaps he could uncover Gobu Yue’s true identity through them, though he knew it was out of reach for now. At minimum, he’d have to reach demigod status before he could hope to control such a creature.
“It seems… things are getting more and more interesting…”
…
In a tavern within Goblin King City, Scarlett and Ladrick had finally arrived.
A heavy, oppressive feeling lingered in the air, refusing to dissipate.
“That’s why I want to kill that goblin as soon as possible,” Scarlett muttered with a tremble in her voice. “It’s terrifying. Just being here fills me with such intense unease… even fear!”
But even as she spoke, she didn’t forget to shovel a forkful of meat into her mouth. She’d need the energy to get the job done.
Ladrick’s expression was equally serious. “It’s true, but this is exactly why you’re a lesser demon. This dread you feel? It’s not coming from a goblin; it’s because a greater demon resides within this city.”
“What? How could that be? There are demons here, sure, but only succubi from my kind. Even the Succubus Lord is only a middle demon!” Scarlett replied, confused.
Ladrick narrowed his eyes and answered grimly, “I don’t know the specifics, but I’m certain this high demon has close ties to the Seven Demon Gods. They’re extraordinarily powerful, even… surpassing Nanavis.”
Scarlett gasped in shock. “Even… even Lady Nana isn’t as powerful as this one? What should we do? Should we withdraw for now?”
“Are you an idiot?” Ladrick snapped. “What does a high demon have to do with us? We’re here to kill a goblin, not him.”
“Besides,” he continued, “we’re envoys of a Demon God. Even if he’s a high demon, he wouldn’t dare trouble us. Understand, you stupid lesser demon?”
Ladrick looked at Scarlett with utter disdain.
He had once admired her—she was clever and bold enough to rise from being a lesser demon to one of the Demon God’s followers. Yet here she was, terrified by a mere goblin. She was behaving like a fool.
Scarlett, recovering from her embarrassment, forced a smile. “Understood. So, when do we start? I’ll take on the role of the Peacock Demon. I’ve seen those creatures’ followers—they’re all hideous.”
Their plan was to use the allure and charm of the Peacock Demon, a demon known for its beauty and seductive dances, to lure Lin Tian and his followers. Once they were close, a hidden stockpile of explosives would be detonated to kill him. Numerous high demons and demigods had met their end from explosions in past wars, so they were confident this would work against Lin Tian. Even if he survived, the blast would destroy half of Goblin King City.
“Today is just reconnaissance,” Ladrick murmured thoughtfully. “We’ll need at least three days to smuggle the explosives into the city and bury them.”
He already had a plan: bribe the gate guards, purchase a plot of land, and quietly plant the explosives there. It was a straightforward, brutal, and cost-effective strategy, which made it almost foolproof.
Scarlett nodded. “The sooner, the better. I can’t wait to see him dead!”
Following Ladrick’s lead, the two went to purchase a plot of land. They paid in full on the spot; after all, they’d amassed a fortune over their millennia-long lives, though it was still nothing compared to an imperial treasury.
But when Ladrick tried to bribe the goblin guards, his face darkened.
“Damn it! These goblins are all under that guy’s control. They won’t take bribes,” he cursed, annoyed by his lack of understanding of goblin culture. His questioning had nearly given him away.
Scarlett offered, “Leave it to me. I’m a succubus—I can enchant them.”
Ladrick shook his head. “No, they’re under strict control. Enchantment won’t work. You’ll need to shapeshift into a goblin and manage the gate yourself. I’ll arrange for the convoy to pass through.”
With everything decided, they each moved into action.
…
Early the next morning.
In the palace, Lin Tian had awakened early. His simulation attempts had refreshed, and he planned to run a simulation to see what would happen if he attacked the Uninhabited Zone. After all, he and his forces were eager to eliminate the demon threat once and for all.
[The Life Simulation System is initializing… Current Scenario: Fruits of Hard Work
Since the angelic encounter, you and your allies have made significant gains in power. However, the curse cast by the demons has made you resent the Uninhabited Zone, and you’re eager for revenge.
Today, after gathering your forces, you command the Zerg Queen to produce millions of hybrid goblins, evolved into holy variants, and prepare to attack the Uninhabited Zone.
However, a mysterious figure in the city has invited you to a dance banquet, with an incredibly beautiful Peacock Demon performing a captivating dance.
But you remain unfazed and lead the army out to battle. The holy goblins are unstoppable, sweeping through the Uninhabited Zone’s monsters with ease. Even twelfth-tier creatures are powerless against the horde, and you barely need to lift a finger.
At the Palace of the Lords of Sin, your forces encounter fierce resistance, but Alice and the One-Eyed Owl stand out, battling intensely until only a single high demon remains.
In the midst of this struggle, Gobu Yue and her allies arrive with urgent news: a large quantity of explosives has been planted in Goblin King City, ready to detonate at any moment.
Choice 1: Return to investigate and abandon the assault on the Uninhabited Zone. (Rating: 50)
Choice 2: Continue the battle and press on for victory. (Rating: 50)]
Reading this, Lin Tian frowned.
What was going on?
The city was rigged to blow? His own home was under attack?
It was obvious who was behind this—the demons!
“Damn it,” Lin Tian gritted his teeth. “Are you trying to force me to storm into hell and kill every last one of you?”
For the first time, he sensed the true danger of these enemies. They were cunning and merciless—no longer the easy foes of the starting regions.
With that in mind, he selected Option 2. He wanted to see how a confrontation with the high demon would play out and learn more about its abilities. Worst-case scenario, he’d have to pause the Uninhabited Zone assault for a day or two to handle the bomb situation.
[You chose to continue battling the high demon. She uses her powers to dominate the field, focusing on killing Alice and the One-Eyed Owl. But she underestimates your strength. Ultimately, you defeat her.
Upon your return to Goblin King City, you find the bomb crisis has already been resolved. Enraged, you personally execute Scarlett and Ladrick, the two demons behind the plot…
Forced termination… Simulation successfully completed!
Summary: Your enemies are no longer at novice level. Exercise caution.
Score: 50 out of 100
Reward: Life Points x50
Duration of Simulated Time: 3 days]
Seeing the summary, Lin Tian ended the simulation. He hadn’t expected the high demon to wield powers capable of instant kills. This wasn’t an enemy he could rush into fighting.
His strategy would need to change. He’d deal with his foes one by one, starting with Scarlett and Ladrick.
“But what did it mean by ‘bomb crisis resolved’?” Lin Tian muttered, narrowing his eyes. “Those two wouldn’t just give up that easily…”
A murderous intent welled up within him. He’d think about the details later; for now, he would focus on delivering excruciating punishment to those two demons.
He would make them suffer a pain far beyond anything Loder had ever experienced.
