Evolution from Carp to Divine Dragon - Chapter 391
Chapter 391: Resisting with Flesh
TL: Etude
In this area, powerful energy fluctuations abounded.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!
In an instant, intense laser beams surged from a short distance away, striking towards Lin Hao with terrifying speed.
“Watch out!” Luo Xue’s pupils contracted slightly at the sight.
“It’s fine.”
Lin Hao simply extended another claw, blocking the laser beams without any damage.
Reaching his level of strength, his body’s defense was exceptionally strong. Ordinary attacks couldn’t harm him at all.
“You be careful. I’ll handle them!”
Lin Hao placed Luo Xue atop a nearby building, then charged towards the area below.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!
Hidden below, the ETs frantically pulled their triggers. A barrage of laser beams shot towards the diving Lin Hao. His enormous size made it impossible to dodge the dense laser fire.
But Lin Hao didn’t need to dodge. He withstood the barrage with his body. Not even the recently injured parts of his body were affected by the lasers. His flesh had become incredibly resilient.
“Behemoth Clan?!”
The ETs’ expressions changed drastically as they watched Lin Hao withstand their laser barrage and charge forward. They realized Lin Hao wasn’t just a mutant creature.
In a flash, Lin Hao’s massive body crushed down on them.
“Run!” The ETs abandoned their attack and tried to scatter.
“Where do you think you’re going?”
Discharge!
Crackle, crackle!
Suddenly, massive currents of electricity surged from Lin Hao’s body, arcing out to the surrounding area. Nearby buildings exploded from the impact, and the fleeing ETs were struck by the terrifying lightning. Their battle suits exploded, and without their suits, their bodies were charred black by the electricity.
Lin Hao’s enormous, sharp claws grabbed the ETs, tossing them into his mouth and devouring them.
Each ET was a level 6 ET, yielding one to two million evolution points each. While individually not much, the number of ETs here was significant.
“Lin Hao has become much stronger…”
Standing atop the high ground, Luo Xue watched excitedly. She relaxed slightly. Despite Lin Hao being injured and the numerous laser attacks, he was in control of the situation.
At that moment, a blinding white energy beam suddenly shot up into the sky from a distant area.
“What is that!?”
Luo Xue’s pupils contracted slightly as she witnessed the scene.
The area where the beam emerged was precisely where the spaceships had landed. What was happening there now?
She had only just arrived and engaged with the ETs. She had no idea what was happening over there.
“Luo Xue!”
A familiar voice called out from nearby. Turning to look, she saw a figure in silver battle armor flying towards her.
“Mr. Zhang!?” Luo Xue quickly recognized him.
“You’re back in Longyin City? What’s the situation?”
Zhang Tiansheng had spotted Luo Xue as soon as he flew over.
“I’m not sure yet. I just got here,” Luo Xue shook her head, glancing around.
Lin Hao had already charged into the area ahead, seemingly searching for the ET he had frozen into an ice sculpture earlier.
“Luo Zhendong and his team have gone missing. We have no idea what’s going on,”
Zhang Tiansheng said, clearly frustrated. His gaze shifted to the distant, terrifying white energy beam.
“What is that thing? Let’s go check it out,” Luo Xue said gravely.
The Five-Headed Dragon was killed by Lin Hao. Nothing here could oppose him now. But they needed to find out what was happening in that area. If something went wrong, there could be countless casualties!
“Alright!” Zhang Tiansheng nodded.
“By the way, have you seen the fire flood dragon?”
“It’s over there!”
He noticed Lin Hao’s silhouette in the distance, exclaiming in surprise. The recent battle between Lin Hao and the Five-Headed Dragon had been intense, and the memory of it still left Zhang Tiansheng in awe.
“Yes,” Luo Xue replied thoughtfully. “It will… help us.”
She understood that Lin Hao needed to devour the ETs to continue evolving.
“Alright, let’s head up front then!”
Zhang Tiansheng took a deep breath to calm himself before flying towards the front.
Boom, boom, boom!
As they reached the area, they heard massive explosions. In the distance, soldiers and HXLZ members were battling Behemoths. The tall buildings had blocked their view, but now they could see the towering creatures, some as tall as ten to twenty meters.
“Roar!!”
The beasts’ skin appeared covered in black iron armor, providing formidable defense. The hidden soldiers fired special armor-piercing rounds, only leaving shallow dents on their skin, failing to penetrate.
These beasts, enraged by the attacks, rampaged in all directions.
“Damn creatures!”
Luo Zhendong appeared behind one of the beasts, wielding his war blade and striking its massive body with a powerful slash. The strike left a wound, more effective than bullets but still not fatal.
