Evolution from Carp to Divine Dragon - Chapter 347
Chapter 347: Miraculous Power
TL: Etude
“Laser guns!?”
Luo Xue walked closer, her eyes filled with astonishment as she looked at the numerous laser guns hanging around.
However, the areas where the laser guns were placed were covered by transparent glass containers.
And the quantity of these laser guns was quite substantial!
At a rough glance, there were at least over two hundred on both sides.
“No wonder the members of the EL organization have so many laser guns; they must have obtained them from these ruins.”
Lin Hao couldn’t help but speak upon seeing this scene.
He hadn’t explored many civilization ruins, and this was the first time he had seen laser guns among them.
The EL organization members they had encountered earlier were each equipped with a laser gun, likely obtained from discovered ruins.
“Yeah, we hadn’t found laser guns in civilization ruins before. According to previous theories, there are many civilization ruins on Earth, but not many had been excavated until recently. More and more have been discovered this year.”
While speaking, Luo Xue searched for a switch nearby.
These transparent glass containers acted like protective shields, isolating all the laser guns.
It was obvious there was a switch somewhere that could open these protective shields.
“Can’t find it?”
Watching Luo Xue’s actions, Lin Hao knew she was trying to find the switch.
But after searching around, she seemed to have found nothing.
“Yeah. Not sure where it’s hidden.”
Luo Xue spoke with some frustration.
If they could take out all these laser guns, it would significantly boost the overall strength of HXLZ.
Bullets from regular guns were ineffective against stronger mutant creatures as they couldn’t penetrate their bodies.
However, the laser guns had relatively strong attack capabilities, even effective against tougher mutant creatures.
“Just break it.”
Lin Hao looked at the glass cover, then grabbed it forcefully!
Bang!
His sharp claws struck the glass cover, instantly leaving several deep marks.
Power works wonders!
Who cares what it is, just break it!
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Lin Hao attacked several times, accompanied by muffled sounds. In the next moment, the glass protective cover shattered.
“See, problem solved.” Lin Hao grinned.
“Impressive!” Luo Xue gave a thumbs up.
The other protective cover was also destroyed by Lin Hao.
“These laser guns should significantly enhance the combat power of our domestic warriors.”
Luo Xue picked up one of the laser guns and examined it carefully, noting it was identical to the ones confiscated from EL organization members.
It was clear they had also obtained them from this civilization ruin.
The exact means and methods they used, however, remained unknown.
“Are there many warriors in the country now? It always feels like you’re short on manpower.”
Lin Hao said while scanning the surroundings.
“Yeah, recently we’ve been recruiting new warriors nationwide, but the appearance of mutant creatures is becoming more frequent, so there’s still a significant shortage of personnel. In some foreign countries, entire cities have been overrun and occupied by mutant creatures, without a chance to fight back.” Luo Xue spoke with a hint of helplessness.
The situation domestically was relatively better due to the large population and the strong sense of patriotism among many people, leading to numerous warriors resisting the mutant creatures. However, several areas had already abandoned the fight, resulting in many cities being overrun by these mutants.
“This is only the beginning,” Lin Hao remarked, his expression turning serious.
The true disaster had yet to unfold. However, if there were so many mutant creatures abroad, he could potentially teleport there and have a feast.
“For now, let’s see what challenges we can tackle in this ruin,” Lin Hao said, refocusing his thoughts and moving forward.
Soon, they spotted a bright white entrance ahead.
“That should be it,” Lin Hao said.
This appeared to be the entrance to the challenge area where they could earn battle suit sets.
“Are you going to take on the challenge?” Luo Xue asked as she walked beside him.
“Yeah,” Lin Hao replied with a smile. “Your battle suit is damaged; I’ll get you a new set.”
Given his current strength, challenging for the Type1 Suit was straightforward. Besides, there was a loophole in the civilization ruins’ challenges that allowed him to repeatedly tackle them and claim all the rewards.
“I want to try it myself,” Luo Xue said earnestly after a moment of thought.
She wanted to become stronger on her own rather than being a burden. If she always relied on Lin Hao to obtain the Type 1 Suit and never experienced the battles herself, she wouldn’t achieve meaningful improvement.
“Alright. Be careful,” Lin Hao said, understanding her intentions. They exchanged a look and simultaneously entered the wide, white-lit passage.
Despite his large size, Lin Hao could move freely through the passage. After a short while, they traversed it and entered an expansive space.
This space was just as vast as before, with white light surrounding them, making it seem like they had stepped into a new world.
“Welcome to Ruin 1314,” an AI voice announced from all around.
“Ruin 1314… there must be over a thousand ruins on Earth,” Lin Hao mused aloud.
“More than that,” Luo Xue corrected him. “We’ve found Ruin 2023 in another location.”
The number of ruins on Earth was immense, and they had only discovered a small fraction. Some estimates suggested there could be over ten thousand civilization ruins worldwide.
“How many known ruins are there globally now?” Lin Hao asked curiously.
“Around two hundred,” Luo Xue replied after a moment of thought.
“Some hidden ruins might be underwater, in riverbeds, or deep in forests. They may have already been discovered by the EL organization, but our people haven’t found them yet.”
The known civilization ruins numbered just over two hundred. This meant a significant majority remained undiscovered.
“Still too few,” Lin Hao sighed. “We need to locate more ruins to get more equipment.”
Each civilization ruin provided only a limited amount of battle suits. With so few ruins discovered globally, there was a severe shortage of battle suits, which explained why so many incidents involving mutant creatures were undermanned.
At that moment, a line of text appeared before them, projected in mid-air by a hologram.
