Evolution from Carp to Divine Dragon - Chapter 322
Chapter 322: Beneath the Iceberg!
TL: Etude
“Before the captain arrives on this planet, we better complete our tasks,” one of the ETs remarked.
“Otherwise, we might face punishment,” another ET added.
As soon as this ET finished speaking, the faces of the other ETs showed a slight change, a flash of fear briefly passing through their eyes.
“The natives of this planet should be arriving soon.”
Not long after, a group of individuals dressed in black battle suits could be seen approaching from the other side.
These people quickly noticed the presence of the ETs and accelerated their pace.
“Greetings, my lord!”
As soon as they arrived, they knelt on one knee before the ETs, their voices filled with respect.
Despite being in this icy and snowy region, beads of sweat formed on their foreheads, and there was a palpable sense of tension in their hearts.
They had just heard the sounds of explosions from this direction, and as they came closer, they saw the bodies scattered on the ground!
These people were the human warriors stationed in the Arctic by the Global Alliance!
Unexpectedly, they had all been killed in such a short time!
It had been a one-sided massacre!
“Hmm. Later, you will lead us to the base,” one of the ETs said, fixing its eyes on them with a peculiar smile.
They had known before arriving that some inhabitants of this Blue Star had already become their “dogs,” working for them.
“Yes!” The men replied respectfully.
“Now, we need to awaken some creatures here.”
The ET turned to look at the distant iceberg.
At this moment, all the ETs started moving towards it.
Those who had knelt on the ground hesitated for a moment but quickly followed the ETs.
These ETs had extremely unpredictable tempers; one wrong move could result in their deaths.
So, despite their nervousness, they had to follow them.
Boom! Boom!
As they advanced, all the ETs’ ships activated their self-destruct devices!
With a series of massive explosions, the surrounding glaciers began to shake violently.
Even the ice field behind them collapsed.
The members of the EL organization watching this scene felt a shiver run down their spines.
However, they continued to follow the ETs forward.
“My lord, the Global Alliance will likely be aware of the situation here…”
One man couldn’t help but speak as they walked.
When they first discovered the ETs landing, the human warriors must have transmitted the situation to the Global Alliance.
The alliance would probably have already guessed what had happened here.
If they didn’t leave quickly, reinforcements might arrive, which could be troublesome.
“Do you think we fear these ‘insects’?”
One of the ETs glanced at them, a grin spreading across its face.
Its smile was eerie, and combined with its violent eyes, it gave an extremely unsettling feeling.
It was as if they were sitting on pins and needles.
“My lord, I didn’t mean that…” the man stammered, quickly speaking up.
“Jie jie,” the ET merely glanced at him, said nothing, and continued walking forward.
The man finally felt a sense of relief.
These ETs that had descended on Earth this time seemed entirely different from before!
They were taller, more robust, and even the armor they wore looked more advanced!
They continued walking until they arrived at the base of an iceberg.
“It’s here,” one of the ETs stopped and extended its right hand.
In an instant, a laser beam shot out from the palm of its hand, striking the base of the iceberg.
Quickly, a deep hole was blasted into the ice.
Another ET retrieved a special oval-shaped device from a metal backpack and, after activating it, threw it into the hole.
What is this!?
The others watched in confusion.
Buzz, buzz, buzz!
Suddenly, a piercing, deafening noise erupted!
The sound was so intense that the EL members felt like their ears were about to burst!
The noise was unbearable!
Instinctively, they covered their ears, but it only provided slight relief.
The ETs watched this scene with twisted smiles, their eyes regarding the humans as if they were mere “insects.”
Boom, boom, boom!
Soon, the surrounding area began to shake!
The tremors grew increasingly frequent!
Wh-what’s happening!?
The humans, covering their ears, widened their eyes in shock.
Cracks began to appear on the iceberg and the ground!
The fissures rapidly expanded!
The massive iceberg was splitting open!
Seeing this, the humans instinctively backed away.
Boom, boom, boom!
The tremendous shaking continued.
Huge chunks of ice tumbled down from the iceberg.
The ETs also retreated, their eerie smiles never fading.
“The emergence of this creature will be enough to give the natives of this planet a headache,” one ET said.
“Heh heh.” The ET who had placed the oval device also smirked.
Under their watchful eyes, a gigantic figure began to emerge from beneath the iceberg!
A mutant creature lay beneath the ice!
Seeing this, the EL members widened their eyes in astonishment.
As they moved further away, the piercing noise diminished, easing the pain in their ears.
At this moment, as the iceberg fully split open, the ground cracked into a massive chasm, revealing the seawater below!
The fissure was several meters wide!
“This…”
Looking ahead, they saw a massive mutant creature encased in ice!
The size of this creature was utterly staggering!
Just looking at it left the EL members dumbfounded!
This thing had to be at least forty meters tall!
How could such a colossal creature be hidden beneath the iceberg!?
Gulp.
They swallowed hard.
“This mutant creature looks somewhat familiar…” one of the men said, eyes widening further.
“This thing, could it be…?”
