“Of course!” Fang Aiguo nodded in agreement. “Everything that leaves our store comes with a warranty.”

“That’s great. I’ll definitely come back here if I need anything else.” After saying this, the young man, with his TV and radio in tow, left the shop happily, his good fortune evoking envy among the other customers.

Many who were originally planning to buy electronics decided to opt for the second-hand items with warranties in hopes of winning the grand prize. However, winning the grand prize wasn’t so easy. Most people only received a ‘thank you for participating,’ while a few won minor household items like pots, pans, toothpaste, and toothbrushes.

Lin Wanqiu was kept incredibly busy with the influx of customers and continuously handled transactions.

Meanwhile, Chen Jianghai became the most leisurely person in the shop. Most customers were there for the lottery, and not many came for repairs. The few repairs needed were minor issues, which Chen Jianghai delegated to Zhao Rongxin, offering guidance from the sidelines.

Initially, Zhao Rongxin was a bit nervous, but he quickly gained confidence. He had always watched Chen Jianghai work, and although it didn’t seem difficult, he hadn’t had hands-on experience. Now, having successfully repaired several items in a row, he had gained some confidence. This was largely thanks to Chen Jianghai’s generous teaching in recent times. Zhao Rongxin was deeply grateful for this and made rapid progress, laying a solid foundation for his performance today.

Chen Jianghai observed all this, and it was because of this that he had let Zhao Rongxin take the lead today in front of so many people.

As it neared noon and the number of customers dwindled, everyone finally got a chance to rest.

Chen Jianghai poured a cup of water and walked over to Lin Wanqiu, asking with concern, “Are you tired?”

“Not at all!” Lin Wanqiu, too excited to even think about tea, said, “Jianghai, do you know how much money I made today?”

Chen Jianghai looked at her affectionately, brushed away her hair, and asked with a smile, “How much?”

“Over a thousand!” Lin Wanqiu whispered after looking around.

“Well, you should be reassured now. Take a break and have some water,” Chen Jianghai reminded her again, passing the cup of water.

Lin Wanqiu understood what he meant, took a sip of water, and nodded firmly, “I’m reassured, I’ll help you manage the shop from now on.”

“Help? You’re the boss here!” Chen Jianghai corrected her instantly.

Hearing this, Lin Wanqiu’s face flushed with happiness.

At lunchtime, Chen Jianghai took Lin Wanqiu home for a meal, leaving Zhao Changgui and Fang Aiguo to watch the shop. With Xue Chunli and Lin Jianguo cooking at home, it saved them a lot of trouble.

Otherwise, they would have had to eat out every day. Although it wasn’t a big deal for Chen Jianghai, it wasn’t a sustainable plan.

“Wanqiu, how was business at the shop today?” Xue Chunli immediately came up to them with great concern as they returned home.

Though she hadn’t been at the shop, she had been worrying all morning.

“Mom, the business was really good! We made over a thousand just in the morning!” Lin Wanqiu, holding her mother’s hand, said joyfully.

“That much?” Xue Chunli exclaimed in surprise.

“Yes, and it’s all thanks to Jianghai’s lottery idea. It made the customers eager to buy something just so they could participate in the lottery.”

Lin Wanqiu pointed at Chen Jianghai, who was parking his bicycle, and said, “And it’s all thanks to the lottery idea Jianghai came up with.”

“Won’t the lottery cause losses?” Xue Chunli asked a bit awkwardly.

“Of course not, we’ve already covered our costs,” Lin Wanqiu responded without hesitation.

“Alright, alright, Chunli, stop worrying so much. Come on, help with the dishes. The kids have been busy all morning; let’s have lunch,” Lin Jianguo said cheerfully after hearing the good news.

“Coming, coming, no need to rush!” Xue Chunli hurried into the kitchen.

At the dinner table, Xue Chunli kept urging them to eat more and frequently served food to Chen Jianghai, her previous cold demeanor nowhere to be seen.

After enjoying a harmonious and hearty lunch, Chen Jianghai, along with Lin Wanqiu, returned to the shop with packed meals for the others.

“Eat up, everyone,” Chen Jianghai said as he placed the food on the counter for Fang Aiguo and the others, who nodded and gathered to eat without any formalities, knowing the afternoon would be busy.

Indeed, before it was even one o’clock, customers started arriving. After a week of promotion and the morning’s success, the name of Qiu Hai Electrical Repairs was becoming increasingly well-known.

The afternoon was even busier than the morning, and the day’s earnings totaled a substantial 2,600.

Lin Wanqiu was ecstatic, counting the money with a wide smile. Zhao Changgui maintained his usual impassive expression, while Fang Aiguo, though happy, showed a hint of concern. Zhao Rongxin appeared even happier than Lin Wanqiu, knowing that as long as he continued to learn from Chen Jianghai, making money would not be difficult.

Chen Jianghai, however, was calm, having anticipated this situation.

Noticing his composure, Lin Wanqiu asked, “Jianghai, aren’t you happy?”

“Of course, I am,” Chen Jianghai shook his head and said, “Wanqiu, today was the first day of business, and it’s natural for it to be good. But the business might slow down eventually.”

Chen Jianghai wanted to prepare Lin Wanqiu for any future decrease in revenue to prevent her from worrying.

“Really?” Lin Wanqiu was somewhat puzzled. “Our shop is so popular, how can business go down?”

Chen Jianghai explained, “Electronics have a long usage cycle. They are usually repaired rather than replaced. Also, the spending power of Linhai residents is limited. Moreover, we’re selling second-hand goods. Once the market reaches saturation, our business is bound to decline.”

Lin Wanqiu didn’t fully understand the intricacies of what Chen Jianghai said but grasped that they might not earn as much in the future.

“What do we do then?” Lin Wanqiu’s cheerful expression turned to one of worry.

Chen Jianghai smiled, realizing she had misunderstood his meaning. “We can still make money, just not as much as today,” he clarified.

Relieved, Lin Wanqiu replied, “Then next time, make sure to explain things fully to avoid worrying me.”

“Yes, boss lady, I’ll be more careful next time,” Chen Jianghai said with a laugh.

As it approached six o’clock, Chen Jianghai suggested closing up for the day, but his suggestion was unanimously rejected by everyone.
